You saw nothing!

The bell rings signaling that school was over for the day, which meant it was time to go home. Scootaloo never really looks forward to this, as her happiest parts of the day were those that consisted of spending time with her friends. Today was one of the very few days where hanging out after school just wouldn't be an option.

Applebloom had to help her family out on the farm, and Sweetie Belle has to pack for a vacation that Rarity was going to take her on. With no other options, Scootaloo decided to simply roam around the town in hopes to find something to entertain her. Maybe Rainbow Dash was around and willing to hand out with her!

With this thought in mind, Scootaloo makes a mad dash into town, hoping to find the mare she looked up to like an idol. She was the most awesome pony in all of Equestria after all.

Reaching town, Scootaloo ran into Twilight, the town's librarian. Well, she used to be until the entire library exploded, but that's a different story for a different time. Twilight didn't look all that busy, and she even had Spike with her. At the very least, she could hang out with him for a while, as they were pretty good friends, though they weren't as close as the rest of the CMC.

"Hey Twilight!" Scootaloo says excitedly as she trots up to the purple alicorn. Twilight in turn smiles and waves at the filly as she approaches with one of the biggest smiles she'd ever seen.

"Hey there Scootaloo! Need something?" Twilight asks as Spike hops down off her back.

"Oh, I was just wondering if you'd seen Rainbow Dash today. My friends all had to go off and do stuff, so I figured I'd hang out with her instead. Is she around?"

Twilight taps her chin with a hoof while looking like she's deep in though, something she did very often.

"Now that you mention it, I haven't exactly talked to her today. However, I did see her flying towards the park this morning, though I have no idea what she was doing or if she is still there." Twilight says as she points in the general direction of the park. Before she can even place her hoof back on the ground, Scootaloo takes off like a rocket towards the park.

"Wow, she really likes Rainbow, huh?" Spike asks as he leans against Twilight's leg.

"You can say that again." Twilight says as she shakes her head while smiling. The two begin to walk away, ready to get back to their own business.

Meanwhile, Scootaloo searches high and low for Rainbow Dash, both in the town, and the park once she arrives. To her disarray, she can't seem to find Rainbow Dash anywhere. She almost gives up until she hears a distant voice from behind a think set of bushes near the edge of the park. If Scootaloo didn't know any better, she'd say it sounded a lot like Rainbow Dash, yet more... refined.

The little orange filly slowly trots up to the bushes, trying her best to stay quiet and unseen just in case this wasn't actually Rainbow Dash. She pushes a few bushes aside, and peeks her head through to see a sight that causes her jaw to drop to the ground.

There sat Rainbow Dash at a little wooden table, and across from her, was her pet tortoise, Tank. That wasn't the weird part. No, the weird part was the fact that Rainbow was wearing a little pink dress, and her mane was pulled back into a ponytail! There was even a little tea pot on the center of the table, as well as a teacup in front of both of them. Tank didn't look any better, as he had a little tiara on his head, though it appeared he had no idea what was going on.

Rainbow Dash was talking to him in a very refined way, very similar to Rarity, though her voice still cracked like it normally does. She hadn't seemed to notice Scootaloo until she started snickering from the bush.

Rainbow Dash turns around suddenly, whipping her head around violently looking for the source of the laughing. It doesn't take her long to spot the little orange filly rolling around on the ground, tears in her eyes from laughing so hard.

"O-Oh, Celestia! Rainbow Dash, are you having a t-tea party!?" Scootaloo cries out while still laughing hysterically. Rainbow Dash stares at her with her mouth gaping, and her pupils shrunken down to pin pricks.

"S-Squirt, w-what are you doing here!?" Rainbow Dash yells as she quickly undoes her ponytail, her mane falling back into it's normal style.

"Looking for you! Looks like I came at the perfect time too!"

"Squirt, t-this is what it looks like, I swear!" Rainbow says nervously, sweat dripping down her face.

"Oh, it definitely is! I gotta tell my friends about this, they'll never believe it. I thought this kind of stuff was beneath you Rainbow Dash."

"Stop that! Alright, ya caught me, are you happy?" Rainbow retorts with an annoyed expression, which stops Scootaloo's laughing fit.

"Huh?"

"So I like to have tea parties, what's so wrong about that, huh? I used to do this stuff with my dad, so why can't I do it with Tank?" Rainbow asks as she scrunches up her face.

"But, tea parties aren't awesome. I thought you only liked the coolest of the cool stuff." Scootaloo says in a confused tone.

"I do! It's just that... I don't know, I just think this is kinda fun, okay? So go ahead, make fun of me for it all you want, but I'm not going to stop just because other ponies think it's lame. What matters is that I'm having a good time with Tank here." Rainbow says while gesturing towards the tortoise who looks less than thrilled to be there.

"I'm not making fun of you Rainbow, honest! You're like, my favorite pony ever, how could I think anything you do is lame? If you say tea parties are cool, then they're cool. No, they're beyond cool!"

"R-Really? You really look up to me like that, huh?" Rainbow says as her annoyance vanishes, and is replaced by an expression of confusion mixed with pride.

"Well yeah, you're only like, my idol. So, it's official, tea parties are awesome!" Scootaloo says as she walks over to the table. "So uh... would it be alright if I joined you?" She says with a sheepish grin. Rainbow Dash gives her a shocked look, but nods none the less. Scootaloo sits down on the ground next to the table, and begins chatting with her idol about the Wonderbolts and other awesome stuff.

Apparently, neither of them noticed the small pink filly peeking over the thick bushes, snickering to herself as she jotted down notes on a notepad.

"Oh man, this is so going in the next Gabby Gums!"

WOW!! this reminds me of a time my best friend ran into my room while I was watching MLP... then a new brony was born!!! I totally like this story!

Umm... Isn't Tank a girl as said in an episode? Also, most importantly, this was an amazing, cute little story. I must say, I loved it!
