Mister Phoenix

Since the show over, I'm gone, no more stories from me

E

This story is a sequel to Po-Gi-Oh

After becoming the Queen of Games, Sweetie Belle felt great from hating the game to it becoming her favorite. The game of Duel Monster or how she and the creator like's calling it Po-Gi-Oh, she's the best she could be.

Even getting the three most powerful cards in the game the three Equestrian Gods, Slifer The Sky Dragon, Obelisk The Tormentor and The Winged Dragon of Ra on her side and trusted friends. Thanks to the ancient power of being able to talk with her cards.

But when the world is in danger once more and for some odd reason the only way to beat the bad guy, save the world and get the girl is to see what is up with this things known as Millennium Items.

So, I'm guessing 'spark' is Yami and I have an idea of who has the millennium ring

7075504 If you do, then good job. :derpytongue2: I never tell if your right or not :trixieshiftleft:

oh, thought button was bakura, because how the book goes and how it is placed in the first chapter. I'm guess three on three is your idea, well mostly your idea.

Okay, the sequel is shaping to be a little better than the previous. I mean, the duelling mistakes aren't as bad and I can't fault the logic of the triple duel since, well, it seemed more like a free-for-all than a three on three.

I won't lie, I was hoping for a little Spikebloom, but the hint is enough to get my attention. I'd like if Spike and Rumble had to duel each-other since they were friends, so it'd be a little more difficult for the dragon. It'd be nice if it wasn't just Sweetie Belle kicking everypony's asses.

By the way, I do like the premise for this chapter too, and the whole Nightmare thing. But if he's just a manifestation of Scootaloo's despair, why was so bad at the game? And surely, he'd use a card-for-card copy of her deck. Unless he was actually the spirit of the Millenium Rod? That'd make more sense to be honest.

The things is, there are some glaring plot-holes and idiot plots running around. How could Spike and Rumble not know that Sweetie Belle is the Queen of Games? Spike is Twilight's assisstant! I'm sure he would've heard about it. And are you portraying Rumble as a sexist? It's a little jarring considering that Ponyville is, like, 70% female. Why would Sweetie Belle need the spirit of the Millenium Puzzle if she's already a great duellist on her own? I know Yugi was, but he made a wish on the Puzzle to have friends, initially, and I always thought it was more about confidence issues, which Sweetie has none of.

I had a thought, when reading the first chapter, that Button should have it and actually have Spark manage to beat Sweetie Belle, giving her a strive to be better, cause right she's a frigging Mary Sue. The reason that Yuma holds a special place in my heart is because he's not a great duellist, in fact he was one of the worst! But he grew, became stronger and soon was able to hold up on his own because of everything he learned from Astral!

Oh and just one more thing. Why do prophecies always have to be so vague?! I'm saying this as a generalised thing, not to bash your story, because it's the fate of the World! Why do you not want to save the World, people of the past?!

All in all, this story is shaping to be slightly better. Still could use some polishing in the duelling area, but as I said, they're not as bad as the cluster-fudge of awkwardness before.

Keep on Keepin on! :pinkiehappy:

7115406 I get your points and well Sweetie defeated Master Chase in a shadow game plus sweetie wasn't like Yugi who got his image everywhere. Sweetie name ztill got out there mostly in Canterlot and Manehatten. There will be more Spikebloom later on hinted in two next cahpters  but I play these duels with fake cards and the rules are base on season one and two.

I'm The Nightmare dear Scootaloo.

Scootaloo shot awake seeing The Millennium Rod in her bedside table.

I really wasn't expecting to see Scootaloo as marik, at first thought is was Luna, Nightmare Moon.

wait is it going into controlling

7119348 Well the thing is in Po-Gi-Oh Master Chase was Pegasus, Evil Marik and Master Dartz in one, another thing most of these characters won't be like the ones in the Yugioh t.v show but for the most part Scootaloo is Marik and Joey.

I really wasn't expecting to see Scootaloo as marik, at first thought is was Luna, Nightmare Moon. Wait is it going into controlling

What do you mean with "Is it going into controlling? Because The Nightmare was created by Scootaloo's own fears and shadows from when she was evil. Now saying this that would have made the chapter a little more better.

7120080
ok
I suddenly remembered the show, where marik could control with the rod,

7120156 I think that because that what The Millennium Rod could do, control minds

7120180
that why i asked that. wondering if scootaloo will use the rod for her own purpose

7120194 No she wouldn't some get used like the Millennium Key and Ring

family invented us to come to Manehatten

Don't ya mean invited stead of invented. If it's invited already, then my laptop is acting up

The old abandoned, old abandoned movie theatre

Why does this remind me of Phineas and Ferb

Jinzo only needs one sacrifice. Why was there a random Morphtronic and SWZ card in Diamond's Deck? Why were Bab's cards Rock/Beast-Warrior and Machine? I could let it go, except that Enraged Battle Ox's effect is specific for Beast and Beast-Warrior decks, so it's a wasted card in Bab's.

Honestly, Morphtronics are a set Archetype of cards, and SWZ cards belong to the Number 39: Utopia set (Thus I expected them to be in AB's deck since she has a Yuma style dck and all) So I don't understand why they're randomly all clustered into one deck like that!

"Now Jinzo destroy the face down card and I end" Diamond said.

"Oh it looks like Diamond has Babs in a corner. All Babs have left is her Magnets" The Announcer stated looking over the scene.

Babs closed her eyes, drawing her next card, the dark orange filly open her right eye and smiled seeing the last card she needs.

"I summon Beta The Magnet Warrior in attack mode. Now because I got my three Magent Warriors I can sacrifice them to summon my ace card. Valkyrion The Magna Warrior"

Wow! I was tense for all of, maybe, five seconds! You could've drawn it out a little more, let us know the stakes and why she needs to win because, as far as I see it, there are no stakes! It's not a shadow duel, they both could be The Bully since it seems to be refering to a reformed bully anyway! Hell it could've gone to Silver Spoon for all the difference it made!

As for The Bully...Well I'm genuinly surprised you didn't pick Diamond Tiara since it seemed the obvious choice. Well played.

"There!" Babs said, pointing at a golden eye.

"That the Millennium Eye, that must mean your friend Babs must hold it" Spark said, appearing next to Sweetie.

Ah yes, I see the Millenuim Items operate on the "Finders Keepers" rule. :ajbemused:

Honestly, I've read through this again, and I couldn't tell you what is going on! They're looking for the items, yes, but what are they going to do after that? Why are they gathering them? For the collector's value? :derpyderp2:

And what do these items do anyway? I know what they do in the Yugioh series, but I can't just assume your versions are exactly the same! I still don't think the Puzzle should've gone to Sweetie Belle since, the only reason Yugi completed it in the first place was to wish for friends. Sweetie Belle already has friends! And is already the Queen of Games so she doesn't need to get any better. Also:

"Talk about lazy writing" Scootaloo said, annoyed.

Yeah, I'm with her on that one. It took, like, 4-5 seasons for Yugi to gather all the Millenium items, these idiots just stumble upon them randomly! Like, who the Hell left the Millinuem Eye, a historical priceless ancient artefact, in the middle of a dusty, old, abandonned movie Theatre! Was that Movie Theatre even there when the Eye was first hidden! The Hell!

It just feels like you're not taking this seriously! The show was mostly serious! Sure there were a couple of goofy episodes, but those were for a break between the heavier parts of the show! Yugioh is not friggin' Ed, Edd and Eddy!

I'm sorry if I'm coming across rude, but Yugioh is a part of my Childhood and I loved it! Corniness and all and it's still a big part of my life now! I still have the very first card I ever got! (The Dark Magician, oddly enough) So I wanted it to be treated with the same respect we treat My Little Pony with now! Hell, if you want, I can write out duels for you and you can focus on the story aspect of it!

If you want for me to do that, PM me and all I'd need is some idea of what kind of decks everyone uses. If not, well, please just try a teensy bit harder! You're getting better, but I do want a tense duel! Not a landslide victory for one side! That's not exciting!

Keep on Keepin' on! :pinkiehappy:

7158597 Yes, I know, I know. I been running out of cards to make decks out of and I just made Diamond's deck in about a hour or so, that why it isn't that great. Plus when I was doing the duel Diamond was drawing almost no good cards, for Jinzo I must have just mis-counted the stars on him I thought it was seven not six.

The finders, keepers rules is important! Well let me explain more about The Millennium Items, in the show Yu-Gi-Oh yes it could Yugi over five seasons to get the seven items and that a T.V show when the items will be found sooner then that. What I'm going is that the items call the pony who meant to hold them that why when Sweetie threw out the box with The Puzzle inside it just return back to her.

The same goes with The Nightmare and how Babs found The Millennium eye, they are calling to them. The next chapters are double part, Child Like Wonder with a two on two match in the first part and a two on one match in the second part.

If you really want to write out the duels, I play them out so I don't know how you write duels, it just makes the duels more open ended. But if you are really sure I could PM you the decks of the next ponies who are dueling.

7159190 When I do a duel I choose what decks everypony has first. In my story, Sweetie Belle uses the Melodius Archetype, so all I have to do is look up a list of those monsters and see what they do, how they fit together etc.

I don't use set deck lists, is what I'm saying. The anime characters had very interchangable decks. The greatest example of this is Yugioh GX, where Jaden will use cards that you'll never see him use again.

So I don't really need a deck list, just what achetype of cards they use. And for Sweetie Belle, well, her deck list is already been seen in the first story so I could try to work from that...It'd be difficult but I can do it. I'm confident enough in writing Yugioh stories. I've written Yugioh crossovers before too. I already have the duels for my story already planned out and checked.

Whenever you need a duel written out, just PM me and I'll see what I can do! :pinkiehappy:

p.s. Running out of cards?! There are tens of thousands of cards! How can you be running out?

7159297 I don't have as many cards as I once did, :fluttershysad: tomorrow I'm going out to get the deck of the main villain for this story.

"My move I use Dust Tornado to destroy my Scrap-Iron Scarecrow, so I uses the effect of Black Stone of Legend, returning it to my hand to return Red-Eyes to my deck. Even if I can't use more than one effect of Black Stone per turn."

Amber was the one that was using Dust Tornado, not Spike. Why would he destroy his own card?

"Ma move ah detaches Humhumming's last overlay so Maestroke can finish the game by hitting direct

This still would've been Spike's turn so he would've used Humhumming's effect and attacked with Maestroke.

Still, I did really like the chapter. Even the first duel all things considered. But I did tell ya that if you had any questions about the duel I sent ya, you could just ask.

Plus in some places, it felt like you just used the step-by-step duel I sent you. That's okay for short-cuts, certainly, but you might need to look over it so the text in the speech marks is in First Person and the parts outside are in third-person.

Still, SpikeBloom forever! :pinkiehappy:

Great job! Keep on Keepin' on!

7171376 This is why I like writing my own duels because it is less confusing, :raritydespair: I think I fix it up. This story isn't meant to be the best Yu-Gi-Oh story out there, there are so many better ones then mine. This story is just mostly for fun.

7171994 Yup, alls good now!

And honestly, maybe if someone does something during another players turn I should put it in another paragraph. That's my bad, sorry about that. :twilightsheepish:

Okay, I know I wrote it so Blueblood would win, but it wasn't an easy win! He could at least acknowledge that! Hell, Kaiba eventually accepted Joey as a fairly good duellist, why else would he invite him to the Duel Monsters Grand Championship?

And the Key doesn't really let ponies read minds, that's what the Eye does! The Key let's one enter the mind and make changes. The only reason Shadi didn't change Atem's is because, at that point, his mind was a mystery so even he couldn't work it out.

Also I'm sure you put a lot of thought into the dream scape, but this seemed more like Pinkie's mind then Sweetie Belle's. You know the mind and a dream are two different things, right? Dreams don't make any sense because, often, they're just hallucinations brought up in our tired heads. Our minds display our personalities and such. You know, like Yugi's which was child like and innocent, while Atem's was surrounded in mystery and had a complicated structure.

Also, only one mistake with the copy of the duel. Forces of Darkness is a trap card, not a spell. It was already on the field face-down.

"I remember that day, Sweetie and I was playing around until we got lost in a cave, we got found fifteen minutes later. But Sweetie was so afraid of the dark that I have to calm her down by giving her my necklace saying that as long as you have this. Nothing can hurt you" Scootaloo said, smiling back on the memory.

You're really trying to push the ScootaBelle here, aren't ya? Also this seems like something you pulled out of nowhere! We've never seen this supposed necklace, there's been no reference to it outside of this random comment that added nothing. Scootaloo doesn't strike me as the type to have jewelery, so I don't know where she got it. But it doesn't seem to matter since it obviously meant very little to Sweetie Belle if she never wears the damn thing so it's completely meaningless!

And where the Hell has Button Mash been this whole time?! You know, you can have a slightly longer chapter to explain where all your main cast are!...

...Oh God I think I know where this is going now! You're going to put in ButtonBabs shipping and have your ScootaBelle, aren't you? If so, that's going to come out of left field! Hell, Button and Babs haven't interacted yet, despite having a shared destiny to...I don't know, save the World. If that's the case, everyone's being increadibly mellow about it. Did everypony smoke something?

And wait! Trixie is "The Mare"? Well at least I don't have to guess who that is anymore since, well, THAT COULD HAVE REFFERED TO 75% OF EQUSTRIA!

And now that I've had a chance to look over this again, I've realised something. The aim of the first story was for Sweetie Belle to have fun playing Duel Monsters? If so, good job! You gave te Queen of Games title to the biggest Kill-Joy ever! I haven't seen her crack a smile in one of these duels!

Lastly:

Before Scootaloo could call it off, Blue Eyes fired only to run into Hate Buster. A trap that destroys both Zure and Blue-Eyes and deals damage to Scoot's equal to Blue-Eye's attack power.

Scootaloo: 3300-300

Scootaloo ends with two face-downs, going to Apple Bloom

So Scootaloo didn't react, even a little, TO LOSING HER BEST MONSTER AND MOST OF HER LIFE POINTS IN THAT ATTACK?! You think she'd call foul play or even demand to read the card, at least, I remember being angry at that OP card when I lost to that certain move!

If this chapter was supposed to make me sympathise with BlueBlood a little, then mission failed, because now he's just a jackass who can now be arrested for breaking and entering since both Scootaloo and Applebloom both caught him BREAKING INTO AN 8 YEAR OLD'S BEDROOM!! He is SO going to the dungeons!

Keep on keepin on!

7210254 But that wasn't until much later, Blueblood still in season two/one of Kaiba he can stand Sweetie Belle, but still wants to beat her and take the title King of Games.

7210278 Yes, but the thing you're are missing is that Kaiba is a likable character because he had a brother he deeply cared for, he dismantled a corparation that built weapons to develop for a card game that brings joy to children and you can tell he's had to work to become who he is now.

Right now, all BlueBlood is, is a jealous Jackass who could barely beat two little kids. With the way he was talking during the duel, you'd thought he'd won without any trouble...this is despite the fact that if he fought Applebloom one-on-one he'd lose...badly.

I know because I duelled a friend who uses AB's deck (Yuma's version, not the starter deck version) with my Dark Worlds. I could barely get to his life points past all the monsters he kept summoning...I had to slow her deck down on purpose to get him to lose!

So right now, you want me to root for a character that I actually hate at this point. Which I'm not going to do, at this point I can't see how he'd redeem himself in a believable way. And I swear if he just takes an attack for her in a tag duel, then I'm going to throw a fit because that's the lazy man's way of doing it!

7210402 When I get to them. Don't worry, they will come

What is he planning? He dies have a God card so what?

I think you mean does instead of dies

"She's/Ahem not his/her boyfriend!"

Care to explain what ya mean by this

The brown jacket covered the pony whooe body,

I think ya mean whole instead of whooe

The three soon landed on the bounce road made out Bouncely Castles.

Could ya explain this to me, I think it might be a mistake, but I don't know

I wasn't expecting the end, but it is a good twist

7216826 For the mistake that was my fault, the Spike and Apple Bloom thing is to show that they are both speaking at the same time and well saying the same thing.

For the other comment same deal, I write on my cellphone, I don't get all the mistakes, second is meant to be bouncy Castle floor I just thought that I spelt it wrong and was going to fix that on the computer. The mistakes are mostly going to be fix soon, :twilightsheepish:

Maybe her look on the events that happened

dark magic full her body and control her mind.

Is that supposed to be filled, or fool(ed)

7216883 noooooo why did u cancel the story i want to see what happens next

Huh. I was not expecting Sweetie Belle's mind to be Mabel Land.
