Is she a pony accidentally turned into a changeling from being in the pod too long, or was he just covering her body?
7050255 He is spread thin all over her, shaping and coloring to look like a changeling
Chrysalis appears to have made a symbiote/klyntar like changeling to try and take revenge. So far Gel seems to be a mix of a ditto (great shapeshifting with a few or more tells) and the symbiotes like I mentioned (Biological armour). Looks like the beginning of a great partnership. A great start to what seems like a great story!

First and foremost I like the story so far.
It's definitely a darker take than Penny's story. Poor Gel hasn't even got a Fast Change to possibly rescue him from the mad queen's mission. Chrysalis in this world seems even more petty and evil than usual too. Only time will tell if she gets what is coming to her.

I feel a lot better for Gel now that he's in somewhat safer hooves. Somewhat, who know what Princess Twilight might get a notion to do in the name of science?
The overall feel of the story seems just a little lighter now, and I hope things get better for the little puddle.
I had a feeling Twi and Gel would get closer to each other...

Excellent work, the plot moves forward with a good balance of sadness, warmth and action. I'm not able to guess where you might be going with this, but it's fun reading along and finding out a chapter at a time.

Things are rapidly improving for Gel, and Princess Twilight by extension, and the sweetness levels are climbing rapidly. Whether Gel and Twilight have had ACTUAL sex is a matter of semantics at this point.
Hopefully they can all work something out before the next changeling attack. This Chrysalis seems just a shade more competent than usual, so I'm expecting more before Princess Twilight and the EoH can work out a solid counteroffensive.
Also, it's always the little things you have no real control over that give up the game.

Poor Gel, he's in way over his head, and his heart doesn't seem to be in it for deceiving people, he's a good pony now that he's out from under Chrysalis and totally into Princess Twilight Sparkle.

I personally have no issue with more mature content in a story as long as it's well written and we have time to get to know and feel for the characters so that the more physical aspects of the relationship carry some emotional investment. You've met both of these requirements neatly.
I'm not sure Gels description of what the mons pubis/veneris is was completely accurate. IIRC the mons is a pad of tissue located over the pubic bone which puts it above, or forward of in the case of a pony, the petals. I'll chalk it up to him finding an out of date or non serious source.

As for the posted question, I agree with Daremo: mature content just gets better with a well-written story behind it; you get more invested in the characters, the relationships become more developed, and thus any erotic scenes have more feeling to them.
Not that there's anything wrong with straightforward clopfics, but a nice erotic story is more satisfying.

A good chapter. It addressed some questions raised in the previous one and puts Twilight and Gel into position for the rescue.
Twilight needs to think of a way to turn the tables on Gel and let him be on the receiving end. Good luck on that though.

Well, that wound up faster than I was expecting, but in hindsight I keep having to remind myself that Chrysalis is powerful, but she's a mental midget when it comes to planning and tactics... and leadership in general. Fortunate for her that Sally, Sweet, Easy, and Sharp Mind's hive are far to the south and a universe away.
Overall I liked the story, the mature portions started off a little cool for me at first, but warmed up considerably once we learned more about Gel's character and his interaction with Princess Twilight.
P.S. I'm returning to Canterlot with the entire cadre of changelings from Chrysalis' hive. Do you think they'll all fit in the east wing guest rooms until we find them a permanent home?
