For a while Apple Bloom two best friends, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo have been dating each other. Happy for the two until Sweetie Belle brings up the fact that Apple Bloom doesn't have anyone. The country girl doesn't really care for that kind of stuff.
Until she and Spike accidentally go on a date with each other.

Aw, this was really cute!
There were a couple of odd word choices and I might of liked an epilogue rather than a couple of sentences at the end but, hey, that's probably the crazy SpikeBloom shipper in me. Though there were a couple of bits that threw me off:
Wow! Um, AB, they're not gonna be there for another four and a half hours! Kill some time with something else, for crying out loud!
How did Rarity come to that conclusion?! He could've just as easily been friggin' hungry! I feel like I missed a couple of lines. I know Rarity is perceptive enough to notice what someone might not say (especially a good friend like Spike) but we need to see what she noticed and how she discovered Spike's not so secret crush.
Also:
...I don't have a critism, I just laughed out loud at this line!
It's both increadibly ridiculous and, also, probably very much true. They live with him enough to probably figure what he's trying to say when he doesn't say it. In my fic, (Hearts Warming Dance) he uses sign language!
Why would Applebloom think they're too young? Her two best friends are dating! I understand Spike's side and why he wants to wait. What, is Applebloom secretly judging her two best friends because they're dating?
But, as I said, I really like this story and all it's fluffy adorableness!

7179066 Well Apple Bloom just felt like she just wasn't ready for a full time relationship like Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle are in. For your other points well I mostly made this so I have finish Spike ships with The CMC. I now have Mistletoe Kiss and After The Mistletoe for Spikebelle, Homework for Spikeloo and now Sweet and Sour Apples for Spikebloom.
I'll fix most of the main problem tomorrow in the morning I could do it now. But I still got Po-Gi-Oh Two to work on, and my new chapter story that me and a friend is working on. Plus the one-shots.
I'm a busy bee. 
I liked it. It's another simple love story done pretty well. And while Spikebloom is not my cup of tea, it doesn't take away from this story. Can't wait to see what's next.

7836885 Yeah I know, I just notice I have 38 instead of 40 stories. So the story I just made should be much better. It called The Guardian, it about Granny Smith, younger and about how Ponyville having a Guardian watching over the whole town.
