Very awsome story. I got excitied thinking that changlings will now always be royal advisors for their multi tasking and emotion sensing. Mlp will never be the same.
I like how you are building worlds in your storys through perspective of your characters. This story has more potential for interesting world-building process rather than any other of your storys. "Substitute" story is coming to an end and i think it could be awesome if you will concentrate your efforts on this one.
I can see a lot of interesting events coming in here. I think Max is a changeling king creature, like Cimmerian in his hexed form. Soon Max will start to build his personal hive by following his new instincts and hoard emotions. Big amount of hoarded emotions should bait in changelings from nearby lands, if to follow your logic in regard of "sense range" of a changeling, relatively big pool of stored emotions can be sensed by a changeling from far away. Not only simple changelings should come in, but Queens to. Newcoming changelings should make one big political problem for royalty, problem of control and administration. This situation may allow Max to grow up from role of
vaginal bugconcubine into role of consort/baron/duke. Oh, and he can change his body to match lunar style.Dat last line

7050821 Oh it will. Max hasn't been around long enough to piss in anybody's oats yet, but I know it's going to happen. He's probably also going to be wanted by several ponies for 'sullying a goddess' among other things.
While all of the references I checked said that "yon" and "yonder" are more or less interchangeable, it's been my experience that it feels more natural to stick to "yon" when you need an adjective. (ie. treat "yon" as the "my" to yonder's "mine")

Don't know who said it was moving to fast, but I say its not in any way. The reasons you stated were the very reason why its moving at this speed.
