Rambling Writer

Our job is not to give readers what they want; our job is to show them things they never imagined. --Walt Williams

This story is a sequel to Rigid

Sombra's forces are in disarray. The EUP has advanced swiftly, smashing his armies and cutting off his supply lines. Now they have the Crystal Empire surrounded, completely cut off from the outside world. Victory is a certainty; it's only a matter of time. Dash can feel it. Everyone can.

This is a good story so far. Can't way for an update! *stares intently at laptop screen*

Great story! Love how Pinkie carries balloons into battle 'cause, duh, you never know when you'll need them :pinkiehappy:

This is the second Sombra War story I've read. You can be sure I'll make it's predecessor my third.

It's Fluttershy, I bet. Also, like, but not a favorite yet. You tend to get those from me, thought - like with the prequel. Let's wait and see, but this shows a LOT of promise!

Man another story in this world where I just love how an author portrays Pinkie and Rainbow Dash. I hope you find yourself doing more of that it was fun.

Daaaaamn. Next chapter tomorrow? Could you do it today? Now, maybe? I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!!! :flutterrage:

....... Are you fucking serious dude? why would she just...........

God that jsut took the turn for the really contrived. "Hey lets turn outselves in so i can get myself and my friend svagely executed!!!"

,........ sighs. Just when i thought it could be good, you pulled this shit.

Perhaps Pinkie has some tricks up her mane to get them out of trouble. She has had plenty of surprises so far.

Cute as heck. Write more! Also, I've never been one for rainpie, but this pikie and dash? They I could see together.

Waiting for your next work, this one was helluva good.:rainbowkiss:

Yes you totally won me over with how Pinkie got them out of jail at the start. It fit Pinkie's personality and how I could see her actually do it. It was also nice seeing how powerful she was after seeing how powerful Dash was in the previous chapter. I was also impressed that you were able to make the duo come out with injuries but not too dark (just the right balance for this story).

I agree with Neece (though I do like PinkieDash in general) that the way you write works wonderfully with Pinkie and Dash together. I really like that she invited Dash to the family outing. Hey meeting the family is an important step in many families.

I am favoriting this story and if you want to I would love to read more stories in this story line. I can see Dash meeting the Pies being a fun, touching, and interesting story.

liked the story, it was good, I don't know why I like the sad stories but I liked it...

After the defeat of Sombra I just remembered this song and I think suits this a little...

This is excellent. How does this not have more likes? Stellar work! :pinkiehappy:

I want another chapter hnnnng! This story is great!
Also, that Applejack mention. Though I'm not sure how she and War!Dash would get along... That combination might be a little volatile.
This was a very good way to end the story, even though I wish there could be more. Kudos!

You're a really good writer, and I enjoyed this a lot. I was also tense the entire time, and never took for granted that things would turn out okay. Loved the sneaky Applejack mention at the end! Would have liked to have seen that, but the story ends exactly where it should. Good job.

As soon as I finish this comment I plan on dusting off my knowledge from my JROTC days and giving a salute to Thunderlane and the countless mares and stallions who lost their lives fighting against Sombra and his wicked cronies. Great story, the tension was absolutely palpable, I am adding this to my fimfiction library shelf dedicated to stories of war both past and present.

And another salute to Rainbow Dash and Pinkamena Dianne Pie.

I hope that you might consider writing more about this version of the Crystal War.

Amazing story! Absolutely loved it and i crave more, you did so well with such a short story
