The year is 3053, the galaxy has been divided into 5 great houses in what is known as the Inner Sphere. These houses have been locked in an eternal struggle for dominance for thousands of years. All of that changed in the year 3050, when invaders from outside of known space began a push towards Terra from Galactic North.

However, in the southern regions of the galaxy, a small Periphery nation known as the Magistracy of Canopus, who's interests are far from galactic conquest, is under attack by the forces of House Liao. Leading their defense is a woman known to those outside of her close circle of friends as "Phoenix." who appeared in the middle of a battle some five years prior.

Titans of Steel and Honor is a MLP/Battletech crossover that's been on my mind for some time.

If Sunset will kick ass in a mecha I'm all for it!

I am interested to see where this is going. Also, props for using the Magistracy. As odd as it sounds, they don't get near enough... love. Snort. Please continue:) long time lover of battletech and sadly know more about the history than is considered healthy:)

I'm a huge fan of the MoC, and they're one of the best periphery factions in my mind. I wanted somewhere that would be more accepting of a rather, odd colored woman ending up in their midst.
I know your feeling Aidan, I've been steeped in the lore since 95, and my father and I used to pilot at the old Battletech centers in San Diego.

Shame MWO isn't a stronger entry in the series, despite the amount of cash I've pumped into that game. Anyway this is kinda a side project, while I work on 7DSJ and a few other things, so this will be getting, occasional updates when I get the urge to write BT fiction.

Battletek and ponies... one of a few crossovers I am a sucker to a fault for...

Not a bad start at all. However, you are definitely going to need a beta. There were an unacceptably high number of capitalization errors in this chapter. Indeed, it's almost up there with The Ngo-verse in terms of capitalization errors . . . and quality. Take heart, being compared to one of the most popular BattleTech fanfic series out there isn't a blanket condemnation, but rather a call to do better. Because it wouldn't have taken much to make this start, not merely just good, but fantastic.
