mmmmmm I like the concepte and the personnality of the hero but it's WAAAAYYYY too rushed, also I kinda prefer when the story begin with the arrival of the displaced. Other than that you have my upvote.

Umm, was the character male or female before the displacement? I know that's kinda outta the blue, but it just won't leave my head until it's answered. Anyway, I agree, good story but rushed.
7592125 Character was female before displacement. I haven't seen many 'females become Displaced' so I did it like that.
Like others said, WAY to rushed. I could probably get two and a half (1000 word minimuem) chapters from fleshing just this out, other wise, pretty good.
And if you're gonna add art, try to have just what you need, the pic with the statue was thrown off by the random human with the camera
