This story is on a temporary hiatus as I am having to spend most of my time at the hospital. My mom had a blood clot unfortunately take her leg, and her health is dwindling, but she's doing a bit better as the days progress. I did not forget this story, but it's next update will be a bit out between the last chapter and the next.

I'm in the process of writing the next three chapters and they will hit the editing portion soon. Once the third is done, I will edit the first and publish it - as I used to do when I first started this story. Last time I checked, the first of the upcoming chapters has about seven thousand words unedited.
Of course, with Discord being one of the focal points in each of these next three chapters, it's bound to take longer than normal. He's too chaotic for his own good.

7421788 I'm not sure killing off Celestia and Luna at the start would be wise, nor leaving leadership to a Joffery-like character. That'd be too similar of a story, and I think it shouldn't be a retelling of what's already out there. Though I'm unsure if it's even possible for a pony version, maybe anthro or human. Dunno, definitely something I'm going to shelve and outline once I've finished RaE. You've definitely given me something to do for my 500k Word Story as part of my Writing List, so thank you for that!

Surprised to see a Apple Spike ship I've always felt it was rare to see, even with the show jokingly swapping his imaginary Rarity with her once or twice.
I've always subscribed to the NTP (No True Pair) theory of shipping. That under the right circumstances any pair can be written beautifully in it's own way and I gotta say while the premise of this story (the bet) feels contrived, the meat of the story, the actual emotions and romance is wonderfully written.
