One winter day, Twilight "Twily" Sparkle decides to make a snowpony, then brings it to life. Except it seems that the snowpony wants to destroy her. Can Twiley -- with the help of her best friend, Smarty Pants -- stop the snowpony, or will she find herself facing a snowy doom?

(An attempt at something slightly different. Based off of Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson.)

Hey there. Thanks greatly for getting this one-shot story up. I really appreciate you going to the effort. As usual, excellent job on the exchanges, emotional content, humor, action (in Twily's imagination anyway) and wrap-up in all the right places. Darn good Calvin and Hobbes homage. I'll definitely be looking forward to more of your work as soon as time and inspiration will allow.

That was a nice and cute story. BTW, there's a typo at one point where you wrote, "Smary" instead of "Smarty".

Dang cover art, using incorrect grammar :flutterrage:

"Nightmare Moon," Twily called out, "Discord, the windigos. Spirits of darkness, chaos, and snow,

Good choices.

All that running in terror burned up a lot of energy.

Suddenly, the two characters on that one show made a lot more sense.

A nice subtle Scooby Doo reference. I like it.

"Purple Comet to House Mule," she called into the walkie-talkie, "Purple Comet to House Mule. Come in House Mule. Can you hear me? Over."

But seriously, that was a cute story. As someone who adored Calvin & Hobbes, it hit me right in the nostalgia bone.

I read this to my daughter. This particular episode of Calvin and Hobbes is one of our favorites. Loved it!
