Christ! Last night, I was thinking that I haven't read Jewel of the Everfree in a while and have been rereading it throughout the day. Lo and behold, it suddenly updates! I just gotta get there now!
It's been some time since I read the earlier chapters. When exactly did the two realise that the dreamcatchers were blocking Luna? And if they knew, why didn't they destroy them much earlier? If it was explained, I have forgotten it.
9669820 In the chapter Heart of the Mountain. Rarity asked what it was and Atchmon Explained it to her. Rarity suspected and believed the dreamcatcher did exactly what it's name implies. She didn't want to destroy it because it was a gift made for her with time and love. And despite her thinking the dreamcaters looked "creepy". She still appreciated the effort. And the reasoning behind it. That Atchmon wanted to make her more comfortable by getting rid of her bad dreams.
9671173 Wait till you read the Monsters chapter. I think you won't be disappointed. Also, I made him run because that would've been the smarter thing to do, once Rarity was freed and got away. That's part of his character, he's too afraid to risk everything; that's why he's still stuck in that forest. Though, I don't think I conveyed well enough how much larger that Bird is to a human who's well over 6 feet tall. The Bird would be easily 3 times that, if the Roc from the episode where Spike goes through puberty is anything to go by.
9680883 I'm gonna try like hell to finish it over the next two days, since we're so close to the end. If only the free Fallout 76 tryout week wouldn't distract me!
9691575 Hadn't been able to work on it since monday. But we're probably 3/4 of the way there. Worked. On the epilogue last night a little. It's going to be a lot shorter than all my other chapters. So I'm gonna try to get both done before this coming Monday. Tho I rarely hit the time table I set for myself.
9697302 Just got 2 action sequences and Afterword left to finish. Got the epilogue done. Not sure if it'll all be done tonight but definitely within the week. Got to get chores done around the house first.
9706265 Just gotta finish this last action scene, then read through it to find all my mistakes. And to make sure I'm not missing any ideas I wanted to implement before the end. (There's still one scene I need to rework to add some little tid-bits). It's amazing, you think it'll be a quick 1 hour writing session and then it turns into 8, and I just FINALLY finish ONE scene! I guess it goes quicker in my mind, since I can see it happening and not have to write it all down, find the right words, not repeat the same ones.
Oh wow, what a complete and utter ass-pull right at the last second all for the sake of bullshit manufactured drama. Did you not learn your lesson from the Spike chapter? Everytime time you've tried to do these dramatic heel turns they have all been spectacular failures.
9726197 I'm just glad that Rarity didn't get attacked a third time by a third creature or group of creatures when she ran off by herself into the dangerous forest. Maybe a cockatrice this time?
"See anything?" Rarity shouted upward, awaiting Atchmon's decent and assessment of their surroundings. His small form obscured by the many branches of the tree.
Fleks of bark fell around her as she scanned the forest floor for any dangers that may disturb them when Atchmon finally came down.
Both considered themselves lucking the slender beast attacked from above while hanging on a tree branch rather than on the ground and going for Rarity's exposed legs.
Such and act would fit perfectly into her Element, but it wouldn't be the same...
Rarity nodded in understanding. "Thank you for speaking with me. I know what do now, and sorry for less than polite around you."
"Don't touch me! Just leave me alone, I want to be alone !" Rarity sobbed before galloping off. The forests underbrush quickly swallowed her form as she disappeared into the night.
There was a moment during their assisted escape that she thought their mine-cart ride would turn into a dizzying experience full of loop-d-loops, and jumping over broken or unfinished tracks over lava pits... But despite what she thought of them, Rarity had to admit those Diamond Dogs were quite competent miners. The mine-cart rolled along the tracks, which made for a smooth, albeit uneventful, ride.
Ha, yeah sorry there's no DK minecart levels here, Rares. or that one minecart mini game in the MLP game app that I would always use Rarity on.
Whew, for a moment, I thought the Willow Tree encounter was going to be an emergence of Nightmare Rarity. Still, I'm expecting Chekhov's Dog (White Fang) will show up soon--he's clearly not one to give up so easily.

Good timing!
The anticipation is real.
Oh Lord the anticipation is real

This should be featured again

Everyone dies in the beginning, instead of the end... brilliant! Should we cut back to 3 weeks earlier when they were all still alive?

We'll get there. The story usually averages at least 10 likes every chapter I upload.
