During the war between Equestria and the Crystal Empire, the mane six get captured. Horrors await, as each of them is 'personally' interrogated by King Sombra.
Is Twilight ever going to bring up how it was technically Celestia's fault the girls suffered? She sent them to a known hostile land ruled by a megalomaniacal tyrant that she and her own sister barely managed to defeat and instead of sending an army she sent six young women into essentially Mordor? Once again, great job Sunbutt.
7062737 Yeah, it really sucks when you have no combat experience and are supposed to fight an evil tyrant which is downright cruel. Being the Elements of Harmony is a though job. Do they even get a danger bonus? They should talk to their labor union if not.
So, Twilight has apparently suffered the most from the traumatic experience. I thought it would have been Fluttershy even though she wasn't raped. Nevertheless, it's nice to see that her friends are there for her and that she knows it but she should really open up to them because that's what friends are for, helping you in times of trouble.
As for the chapter itself, I guess that's the calm before the storm, right?
7062918 I'm really curious now and already have some speculations. Looking forward to next week or the point in time when the next chapter is out. But don't rush things.
One last thing though, what's with the term "lesbian" regarding Rainbow Dash? I thought the pony term is "fillyfooler". Not a big thing though. Was just wondering.
Oh and yeah, nice "Slice of Life"-Gummy reference.
7062913 Call me soft if you will but I am not inclined to use children and young adults to fight my battles for me or treat the fate of a whole country as a test. I'm evil most certainly, but I have standards. How else can I distinguish myself from the rabble?
7062948 I agree with you, that's why it's kind of challenging to write such dark stories in my opinion. Even though in the series itself the mane six are often tested when there would have been options which were a lot safer but hey, it's a childrens TV-series so everything will turn out okay in the end. Happy ending already predetermined.
As for dark stories like this, I really like it when characters get through traumatic experiences and fight them, emerge stronger and overcome their fears. And maybe the world will change as well? Maybe Celestia will realize that they need a really competent army which can fight on its own instead of relying on the fabled Elements of Harmony all the time? Or maybe the mane six come to the conclusion that they need to work harder on themselves.
Of course not everyone of them is destined to be a fighter. But they don't have to be. The two of them which would be most suited to a soldier role, should it come to a war, would be Applejack and Rainbow Dash in my opinion. Fluttershy would be a great medic and Twilight being the egghead that she is, would be most suited to an officiers role, planning and ordering the advance of the troops. As for Rarity and Pinkie Pie, I'm not sure how they would fit into an actual time of crisis. But all that would only make sense if they would undergo proper training. Sending civilians into battle? Yeah, no ... little bit too dangerous or risky. But that's only my opinion.
7062913 Except for a few things, Sombra was barely more then a schoolyard bully in this story. I can think of a lot of things he could have done to be a real tyrant. Just search torture and execution devices on Youtube.
7050182 I did the same thing and mostly just skimmed the last 3 chapters. I'm for happy endings and all that shit but sometimes you just want a good story where evil wins and rapes and tortures the good guys, Just like the first 6 chapters of this story were.
7063321 Yeah, I know. The history of torture is pretty gruesome. Be it what has been done in ancient times or today with psychological torture practices such as waterboarding.
7063321 I think he was a bit more than just a bully. He was powerful, had a lot of cool abilities and did torture 6 mares in creative ways. Still, I have to agree that (and I think this is only because of the intended happy-ending) he was portrayed as brutish and slightly foolish ... but definitely still interesting, more than a simple thug

7062913 There will be ... some kind of storm , but expect the story to be marked as complete by the end of next month (not to give wrong expectations)

Ugh. So sappy and lovey-dovey. I did like how traumatized Twilight was but wish we'd gotten to see some of the more depraved nightmares.
7063003 Hold that thought ...
7062935 I always figured since they're adults it would be 'mare-muncher', just like for males it would be 'stallion-sucker'.

Poor Twilight! I see what she's going through, now.
As he was dragged along, the alligator stared into nothingness and pondered, "What is life …"
LolI love the 100th episode Easter egg in there!
