7757697 it probably has something to do with that thing i mentioned in the author's notes where i re-balanced the chapter length because the second chapter was 10k words which is too much. the first chapter was initially around 5k so it's probably displaying that? for some reason? i don't care enough to fix it.

Long-standing fimfiction bug. Chapter word count gets updated after each edit to the chapter; story word count is only updated when you publish a chapter.
You can fix it by quickly unpublishing and republishing the chapter. Alternatively, once you publish a second chapter, it should resolve itself.

The most logical explaination I can see after reading this is Apple Bloom never really did wake up. She is still sleeping and the nightmare warpes Diamond Tiara.

I love your writing. So hot. What really surprised me is the arm wrestling itself, I don't remember seeing anywhere before the event that it was indeed planned, but I might just not have paid attention. That or it's just another thing in the world that changed for... Some reason.
Not a big fan of the ending, but mind warping stuff has always been hit or miss for me. Regardless, still really liked it.

Same, I personally would have found Apple Bloom going into a cursing tirade after everything reverts due to that ending topping off the rage pile of bullshit she experienced extremely fitting. Not to mention that like AB, the reader is in her boat as well with an ending of "everything's back to normal, do something about it". Actually now that I think about it, if AB did want to "fix" it, you'd think her first thought would be to try cursing again.
Summarize; nice story, but the ending really makes it fall flat IMO. pic related: my imagination AB after that ending
