a.k.a "Sunset Shimmer Show Stealer" a.k.a. "You won't believe where they'll go next! Chapter 11 will SHOCK you!"

Years have passed since Starlight Glimmer's reformation. Since then, she's made many friends, gained valuable contacts, and earned serious respect as Princess Twilight Sparkle's personal student—not to mention her extensive research into friendship and destiny magic.

But at a certain point, enough becomes too much, and Starlight can't take it any more. So, she decides to set off on an indefinitely long sabbatical, out into the world beyond Equestria's borders. Along the way, she will come across new faces and new lands, and only two things are certain: that it will be nothing quite like she's ever experienced, and that Twilight Sparkle will be at least a thousand miles away.

A collection of vignettes and short stories detailing Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer's random travels. Updated irregularly.

Hmm. Well, this looks like it's going to be an interesting blend of experiences. I look forward to more of it.

Thank you, glad to have you on board!

Also wow you got here fast :yay:

This is becoming quietly disturbing. Still engrossing, but disturbing. Also, I'm not sure where Starlight got the idea that Sunset was banished or put on trial, but given how nuts she is, she probably constructed a narrative that fit what she thought she knew.

Aye, I started this off thinking "oh, let's do some comedy, and of course wouldn't it be funny if Starlight's missing a few cogs in her clock"... It turns out while it might indeed be funny, someone called for a detour past Chill Lane before we could get there.

I'm seriously rethinking the tags on this story, but what do you do when there's a little bit of everything? =x

"Random" has some stigma attached to it, but it does seem suitable when the story's a genre grab bag.

Righto. In the blanket tag I trust then!

It looks to me that Sunset may be under the impression that she was banished as well. She made no move to correct Starlight in the matter and even seems to be under the impression that she will be sent back (which she apparently doesn't want; I wonder why?)

I find this story very intriguing, even from just a character examination perspective. I also feel that there is some larger plot going on (not that there needs to be) and the air of anticipation that generates is great!
I'm looking forward to the next chapters. Thank you Casca, for writing this.

Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you picked up on the hint of an overarching story! There is. Welcome to the show, and enjoy your stay

she had entered the darkest timeline.

Is Jeff missing an arm? Is everyone wearing felt beards?

Huh. I don't really have much to say about this one. Just a nice moment between these two. Granted, I might not be saying that if I saw Starlight's teaching methods firsthand...

:twilightoops: Well. That's a thing. Not sure if it's a health concern or guilt so deeply repressed that there are painful flareups now and again. Or both. Both is a possibility.

Well, this is certainly an interesting turn. Not sure what to think here. Like Sunset, I'm going to have to wait for further information.

I reckon Sunny was asking the same question we were. And then, WT actual F!?

Oh my. The grey text suggests a very interesting twist. Whatever happens next is sure to be fascinating.

I really enjoy the way this story flows

Thank you! Hope it stays that way for the future chapters.

I am enjoying your version of Starlight a lot.

Well. That was fascinatingly odd. Though part of me is still hung up over a society on this planet having an Internet.

Thanks for reading! Glad you do, Starlight's character is very integral to how this story works.

The Internet's not going to be the worst offender you'll see by the end of the story uhuehue

Hmm, I was trying to go for "television". I guess the similarity of the situation to streaming gives that impression? It's a minor point, though, as long as the strangeness of the scenario stays.

I got the TV angle; it was the digital voting and e-mail that really made me stumble.
