Chapter 20: Bridle Talk

I awake to noises from downstairs
“Hey Rarity, What you doing” I say walking downstairs
“Shadow…Someone has to clean up this dreadful mess left over from last night’s party”
“Oh yeah I forgot about that, Here I’ll help”
“I pick up the broom while standing on my hind legs and sweep up the cups, streamers and deflated balloons into a pile in the middle of the floor, while Rarity uses her magic to levitate her manikins and clothes back to where they belong from a nearby cupboard.
“Darling let me get rid of that” says Rarity levitating the junk pile to a nearby bin outside, “Agh that’s better all nice and clean, now for breakfast”
I watch as Rarity trots of to the kitchen to make some breakfast
“You’re calling me Darling now” I giggle
“And you’re calling me Rare now” smiles Rarity
“Toshay”
“So what you want for breakfast Darling?”
“I’m not that hungry Rarity”
“You sure”
“Yeah I had a lot to eat last night during the party”
“Okay”
“So Rarity I was wondering if we could talk about the wedding” I say sitting down at the table
“Uh yes, I love to talk about it I have so many ideas for the wedding” says Rarity jumping in excitement
“Yeah I bet you do” I laugh
“What’s so funny Shadow?”
“I bet a beautiful and sophisticated pony as your self has had this already planned out for when you met the gentlecolt of your dreams” I laugh again
“So it’s not a crime to have it all planned out”
“Well what have you planned then” I say hoping I don’t regret it
“Wait here for a sec” says Rarity rushing off to another room.
I wait for a couple of second until Rarity returns back with a gigantic book labeled Wedding Ideas
“Well I see you definitely been waiting for this day” I say in shock of the enormous book
“Only bits and pieces for wedding dresses and weddings if been to or seen”
“You must have been gathering this up since you were little” I say flipping through some of the pages
“Here this is my favorite dress out of them all” says Rarity snatching the book from my hooves and flipping half way through the book
She shows me a picture of a silky white dress embedded with diamonds along the bottom and the waist; it had an open cut design showing the blue fur of the model modeling the dress and a tiara that sat firmly on the models head embedded with sapphires, rubies and diamonds.
“Wow that’s one stunning dress it looks like something you have made”
“It’s not…I wish I did make such a stunning dress but sadly a pony in New Yorke by the name of Alexia Jordson made it”
“And im guessing you want to have this dress for the wedding”
“It would mean the world to me if I did”
“And I’m guessing the only way to get this dress is to go to New Yorke and buy it from this Alexia Jordson”
“Yes that would be true”
“Well I guess there’s only one solution”
“I guess I could find another dress” says Rarity with some sadness in her tone
“I was going to say I will travel to New Yorke from PonyVille but if you wish you can pick another dress”
“Oh My God…Oh My GOD…You’ll get the dress Shadow” Says Rarity jumping out of her seat and giving me a massive hug
“Of course, remember it’s our special day” I smile
“But how are you going to get there”
“I’ll find some way there, now how about we set a date for the wedding”
“Okay” says Rarity releasing her grip
“So how about we set the wedding for three weeks from now”
“How about the 22nd of September, two weeks from now”
“Are you sure that will give us enough time to get everything ready?”
“Sure will, as you have seen I have had this planned for weeks I just have to call certain ponies around equestria and everything will be sorted and I have Fluttershy and twilight to help me”
“What about Applejack and Rainbow Dash”
“They can help you on your trip to New Yorke, cause if I remember Applejack has been there once before and she will probably dirty everything for the wedding and Rainbow Dash will just get in the way at a time like this”
“You defiantly have had this planned out…and what’s says that Applejack wont dirty the dress”
“Well she won’t be caring it back to PonyVille”
“OH that means I have to” I moan, “So what says they both will help me”
“Applejack might help…but knowing her she will and you and Dash are good friends she probably help you”
“Well I better get going to see if they will…by the way how long does it take to get to New Yorke from PonyVille?”
“About two days on hoof depending on the weather”
“You sure you will be right with getting the wedding ready”
“Yes I’ll be fine”
All of a sudden a knock at the door echoes through Rarity’s Boutique
“I’ll go get that Rarity you do what you have to do for the wedding”
I walk over to the door and open the door to a pony wearing blue sunglass
“Hey Shadow”
“Hey Vinyl, Come in make yourself at home”
“Thanks” says Vinyl stepping into the living room
“Who’s at the door Darling?”
“It’s just Vinyl”
“Ah good just the Pony I was looking for” says Rarity rushing downstairs, “Vinyl I was wondering if you wanted to be the DJ at our wedding”
“Agh, I don’t really do weddings…I’m more of a party kind off pony”
“Well Vinyl it is for the after party of the wedding”
“Well…what date is it on?”
“22nd of September” Announces Rarity
“Wow, that’s only two weeks away, you sure you both will be ready”
“Trust me Rarity’s been planning this day for quite a while’ I say with a smile
“Well let me check what I have on then day” says Vinyl pulling out here diary, “Nope I have nothing on so sure I would love to DJ for your Wedding after party”
“Thank you so much Vinyl…Now if you would excuse me I have some more wedding business to take care of” says Rarity heading back upstairs
“So Vinyl what brings you to Rarity’s boutique?” I say
“Well I was wondering if you wanted to hang out this morning, because I have a show outside of PonyVille and Celestia knows how long in till I come back” replies Vinyl
“Yeah sure as along as we can stop by Applejacks along the way”
“Yeah no problem” smiles Vinyl
“Hey Rarity will you be fine here sorting out the stuff for the wedding”
“Yeah I’ll be fine…I wish you would stop asking that though please Shadow”
“Sure…I’ll see you later today” I say walking out the door
“Bye, I hope you get everything you hope for your wedding” says Vinyl
“Thank you Vinyl and good bye”
