Chapter 13: A Sad Pony

As I felt her warm lips upon mine I didn’t know how to react. ‘Should I be angry or should I be happy?’ I looked up at her. She had a face full of regret and jealousy.
“Dash, wha….What was that?” I said in shock
“I…I’m sorry Shadow. But I….I…I…”
Dash looked down at the ground then back into my eyes with tears in hers
“I don’t know what to said. I’ve never met a pony like you before…You’re….just…so….so….I’ve gotta go” cried Dash as she zooms off
“Dash wait” I screamed as I chase after her
“Dash stop” I said trying to fly closer to Rainbow Dash but she was flying to fast
We flew for about 10 minutes until she stopped at her house in Cloudsdale
“Dash you all right” I said quietly as I open the door
“I’m so Sorry Shadow” cried Dash as she turns away from me
“It’s alright” I said getting closer to the bed were Dash sat, “it’s not your fault”
“Yes it is….I never meant for this to happen”
“It’s okay Dash things happen in life we can never change… It’s the way it goes”
“But I kissed you…. Even though I knew you and Rarity are seeing each other…Ill understand if you never want to see me again”
“Don’t be silly Dash me and you are pretty good friends aren’t we not”
“Hmmm” snivels Dash
“And I want us to still be friends Dash”
“But….I….. I…. I really like you Shadow… and if you weren’t seeing Rarity would you…. Like me?” Dash said looking into my ears with a few tears still in hers.
“Dash you’re a very beautiful pony….and if circumstances were different… I would like you” I said softly, “and maybe one day the circumstances will be different who knows”
“will it ever be different” Dash said turning away from me again.
“It may be closer than we thought” I said softly placing a hoof on Dash’s arm
“Maybe….” Dash quietly said
I get up to leave… I was about to leave when I heard Dash said
“Don’t leave” Dash said quietly
“Pardon Dash”
“Please don’t leave” Dash said looking at me with tears still in her eyes
“Why?” I said confusedly
“I wanna talk….Talk about us”
“I’m Sorry Dash… I’ve got to have time to think about this whole thing” I said turning and heading for the front door
“But I will see ya later Shadow”
“For sure” I said turning to Dash and smiling before I leave
