In this Episode: A mysterious creature called The Gurgling Gurgler is terrorizing picnickers at a park near the Everfree Forest. Mayor Mare has put out a request for a photo of the creature so that the proper steps can be taken to capture and contain it! Can our ragtag group of friends pull it together and help solve the mystery of the Gurgler? Read to find out! This is an all ages adventure that anyone who loves ponies can enjoy! I includes a bit of "slice of life", generous amounts of comedy, a bizarre mystery, some fantasy adventure and I wrap it all up in a nice storybook style narration. Enjoy!

OC stories have a really bad reputation on this site. It's a shame, as there are many well written ones that never get read. But views don't matter much. As long as you like what you are writing, all is good.

I'm sad that OC stories get such a bad rep, as I think they are a really cool way to expand the universe. As far as views and ratings go, I'm not all that concerned about that. I'd be writing the story even if no one else was reading it because it brings me joy. I share it only to share that joy and to get feedback so I can improve my work. So really, the most important thing to me is that the few people who do read it get enjoyment out of it and that I learn something about myself and my writing so that I can grow as a person and a writer. :)

The funny thing is, a lot of people don't understand that fan fiction doesn't necessarily have to involve the characters that were featured in the story. Fan fiction can also be about expanding the world they live in; which is what I prefer to read personally. Honestly, I typically prefer OC centric stories. The three stories I have in my favorites all feature OCs as the main cast.

Yeah, much like you, I actually prefer stories with OC characters at the center. I love all fan fiction of course, but that's just what I prefer. My favorite category is just regular old Slice of Life stories. Something written like an episode, but covering the mundane happenings of the Ponyverse, you know? That's why I wish I could have marked this story as both Adventure and Slice of Life, because it has elements of both. There are chapters that will cover regular every day things but also chapters that will deal in adventure related things. I decided to mark it adventure since I could only choose one and then I just mentioned the Slice of Life part in the description so people would know.

I completely understand that. I have a story in the works that could be tagged as both Slice of Life and adventure. Unfortunately, FIMFiction considers these two to contradictory tags, which I personally disagree with. I guess you just have to pick one and go with it.

Thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was funny! Writing humor is rather new to me, I'm more of a SciFi/Horror dude when it comes to reading AND writing, so I wasn't sure if I was hitting the beats or not. All I knew was that the story was starting to make me laugh and I was enjoying that.

Oh this was fun!! Giggles! Sunny wound up being keep kinda how I pictured her. Clumsy and goofy and fun. Definitely a good match to Shutter! I don't really like Spectre he seems pretty mean. He could just break for all I care! I wish he was nicer! I meant to comment last night but I fell asleep before I got to read the second chapte. What the heck does "fulvid" mean? I looked it up and I couldn't even find a definition. Is it even a word? Did you accidentally mispell a different word or something?
Why did you make all your OCs names start with S? It's confusing. I love the characters but geese the names drive me nuts! Too many s's but I'll forgive that because I love 2 out of the three characters so much

Happy you went on to enjoy the next chapter! Sunny Tendersmile is a bit of a handful but she means well, that is for sure. And as far as her and shutter are concerned, well, opposites attract and that insanity that happens when they come together is what keeps them together. I think Sunny would agree that without Shutter she would end up in way more trouble than she does. And I think Shutter would reply that without Sunny in his life, it would be quite boring. So the two need each other.
Yeah, the old gearhead is quite a butt, no two ways about it. But I suppose being trapped in a camera can do that to a pony, no matter how good they started out! I agree though, it is doubtful that he will be anyone's favorite character. In fact in some instances he can be quite a trouble-maker with how rude he is.
That happens to me many a night. I actually love to read FIMfiction before I go to bed so I am often falling asleep mid chapter. I'm happy it made you smile! And no worries, I will certainly continue to write the story so that you all can keep reading it! :)

Fulvid is an weird old word. I think I first read it in a Cormac McCarthy book or something. It means a brownish orangish dirty yellow. The idea behind using that word was to convey that Sunny's hands were dirty from eating the macaroni pie. Hope that helps! :)
