Great story! :pinkiehappy: Will there be a sequel?

6731352 Thank you! Yeah, I got an idea for a follow-up. First though, I have a fic featuring Derpy and Rainbow Dash in progress.

6731809 No prob, and okay

Daw.... This is so adorable!!! Sour Sweet is my favorite ShadowBolt, and seeing her so insecure like this... And the ending... It just melts my heart! Great job! Will there be more?

6732515 Proud to have written something to earn such a reaction :twilightblush: Yes, I'm thinking about producing more stand-alone one-shots featuring the further romance between "You" and Sour Sweet, including a humorous holiday story I've had rattling in my brain based off my own experiences during a recent Christmas parade :rainbowlaugh:

Ok, well I can definetly say you nailed sour sweet character great, good job

Beautiful, need to see that date now:raritywink:

6761190 My Christmas fic will have a mention of what happened during it :rainbowlaugh: I'll be posting it on the big day.

This was funny and cute and you nailed Sour Sweet's character! Good job on this one!:pinkiehappy:

What was going through the guy's head at the end:

Awesome. Reading this has better helped me in writing Sour Sweet's character

Nice setup. Completely enjoyed.
I also died laughing.

Well done! Looking forward to more!

This story was so... sweet.

This is what came to mind when the Lithium Pills were mentioned

Great fic! It was really adorable, and I really enjoyed it! :pinkiehappy:

Beauty lays in the eyes of the beholder

As much as I love the series, I wish the protagonist had more flipouts like in this.

“She’s too psycho to date,”

That didn't stop me from liking Jack in Mass Effect 2. Sometimes, crazy works.

It isn’t because she called you an idiot, though. She’s called you that so many times that you’ve come accustomed to it. Heck, every insult she’s ever hurled at you you’ve come to consider endearing. Sometimes you have to wonder if that makes you the definition of a masochist.

7110787 "Just the Girl": The Official Theme Song of Nico-Stone Rupan's "You and Sour Sweet" series :pinkiegasp:

7110825 :rainbowderp: Uh..................................... thanks?

Remember to take your medication before ready the sweetness consumes you. Oh, And for the whole schizo thing too, I guess.

Holy SHIT. To get to this first story, I had to go through like 13 SEQUELS! Bravo for the series with the most sequels.

That was adorable.

I thought she was bipolar not schizo

7159782 Bipolar disorder is when a person goes from manic to depressed in specific intervals (most of the time they are depressed). This doesn't match Sour Sweet's behavior in Friendship Games in my opinion. Going from cheerful to angry in an instant matches more closely to schizophrenic mood swings. Also, Sour's sudden outburst of "I am watching you!" to SciTwi matches the paranoid delusions of schizophrenia where the person is automatically suspicious of everyone around them.

haha, i loved this, i am definitely reading everything else!

i just have to get them all in order first...

Finally I find the first in the series. I saw the latest featured story and decided to start at the beginning but holy crap that's a lot of stories. Almost makes you wish it was all in one collection.

Well... Time to get cracking
gets ready to read

Found the bottom of the rabbit hole. Damn. lol. I actually no kidding laughed out loud by how many stories down this went. Kudos on you for linking each one back in the description, I never would have made it otherwise. Now that I'm here, I'll give it a shot!

Done...uhh...can you edit their descriptions to link forward for the lazy like me?

What an enlightening story. Next time someone doesn't take my compliment, I'll take it in my hand and shove it down their throat until their upper teeth scrape against my shoulder. I mean, how else am I expected to behave around people with crippling insecurities/psychological disorders? It's not like their opinion matters.

The silence finally breaks when you hear a softly spoken, “I like Italian.”

And so the story has taken her maiden voyage from the seaport of Reality to sail across the great sea of Intolerable Nonsense. Perhaps it will even dock in the land of People Who Actually Believe That Others Behave This Way.

7242793 Oh my goodness, would you look at that: someone hating on a piece of literature based on a world of fiction; id est, something that doesn't necessarily ascribe to your (or anyone else's) way of thinking. It's almost like the writer is using artistic license to make something that he enjoys.
I understand that no-one is required to like something. However, on the internet, there is an amazing concept of closing the tab on something you do not like/approve of. The fact that you don't like something is not the prerequisite to venting negativity like you have.

Oh my goodness, would you look at that: someone hating on a piece of literature based on a world of fiction

You're right, you're right, people should only be allowed to criticize nonfiction. It's not like fiction ever resembles reality, or even reflects real issues or thoughts.

It's almost like the writer is using artistic license to make something that he enjoys.

Yes. And then posting it on the Internet where billions of people can see it and respond to it.

However, on the internet, there is an amazing concept of closing the tab on something you do not like/approve of.

I mean, yeah, it's a concept, but given both my comment, as well as your reply to something that you didn't approve of, I guess that neither of us would care to abide by it.

I mean, how else am I expected to behave around people with crippling insecurities/psychological disorders?

The boyfriend acknowledges he wasn't acting appropriately and struggles to learn how to best approach her schizophrenia throughout my series. Many people in real life don't know how to properly respond to a mental illness.

It's not like their opinion matters.

The idea that she wasn't pretty wasn't a legitimate opinion, it was a schizophrenic delusion that she overcomes in later stories.

finally got around to rereading this whole awesome series  Sorry it's taken me so long!
Man, this series opener is just as perfect as I remember it, setting up excellently for everything and being a cool story all on its own  On to the next one!

Alright, this is only the first or second 2nd person story that I've read (or at least the only one I remember finishing as of now) and I'm glad I picked this series based on what I've seen and heard about it. The comedy gets me to smile at times (which is very hard to do) and I like the way the protagonist, an everyman with some nice perception who is laughably pathetic at times, interacts with Sour Sweet and other background characters. Good job!

FINALLY

I had to follow a trail of prequels/sequels to get here

Jeezums
