I can't believe it took me the entirety of the chapter to finally figure out that Zecora was supposed to be Excaliber
Other than that, the story seems really well made, little to none grammatical errors, and really fun to read (although I have little to none experience with writing stories)
One last thing, why is Rarity a shield? I feel like she would be something along the lines of an elegant type of weapon, like a rapier.

I understand what you mean. actullay, when I came up with the characters roles my mind just knew exactly what Rainbow and Pinkie should be, but I had a hard time for Rarity. When I had the idea for a shield I immediately thought of the design and was like " That could work".
( Also, I don't know what a rapier is. )
( Also I had the idea of Fluttershy hiding behind her, since she would be scared.)

Ah, i see now, yeah, a shield fits both of them well together, just strange seeing a shield being used as a main weapon for fighting.
Oh, and a rapier is basically a somewhat thicker fencing sword (y'know, "engarde")
