Hello
Hi

I'm sorry but I can't like or even read a story like that but I'm looking for a review to do so you just gave me some to rip into this must be my christmas present oh boy....

A nice sweet heartwarming for these two. :raritystarry:  :moustache:

6727320

Thank you. They sure deserve it. Merry Christmas!

6726750

Fantastic. Oh, I just love people like you.

6730650 WWell I like this story to a point I just thik it needs to be word on a biy because I did like it even if I don't ship Rarity and Spike. But this just have the same problem I see around here with just everything being together. It makes it hard to read I do think it good but it just neeeds to be work on just to let you know that I'm not a troll I think about what I say most of the time I'm just an idiot who thinks about the why and why not 's

Ah. It's alright. At first I checked to see if any of the paragraphs had some how been missed when I was separating them, because I do that some times.

I just adopted this way of writing from George R. R. Martin. He's a big inspiration and all. I don't know if it will help, but most of my stories are from one character's perspective (at least for each chapter they are). Maybe I should put something to say that it's from Rarity's point of view. Everything in italics is her thinking and hers alone. I would prefer to keep it the way it is though.

Aw! This was really sweet. I didn't realize that this was in the future and was pretty confused at the point where he flew and she talked about muscles. That made me feel better, also, that he was older. Your characterization was also very nice and I can imagine this happening, albeit with her realization that she liked him kicking in a bit slower. I've put this story in my group Romance is Magic.

6735834

Thanks. In this though the reason why it happened so quickly is because Rarity already liked him, since Spike gave her that fire-ruby in season two. She was just too nervous to tell him how she felt after everything that happened.

Great story. Made me really happy for how close it is to christmas time now but also made me really wish I could be with my significant other too.

Rarity immediately stood up straight and stared into his eyes, seeing the determination and honesty within them.

Staying with Rarity fills Spike with determination.

Sequel!!!!!

6867031

I actually have thought about that; making a sequel that is. I might make something about after everyone comes back from the holidays, where they find out about what happened.
Then on each holiday there would be a new chapter on how Rarity and Spike are doing: Hearth's and Hooves day of course, possibly Happy New Year, though that's a bit late. Might be a series of holiday one-shots or something. It's a very interesting idea, one that I cannot believe I didn't think about before.
Thank you for reading and giving me that wonderful comment. If you want a sequel to this I suppose you must have liked it.

6868249

cool looking forward to it. BTW did you catch what I was referencing there?

6868518

It was an Undertale reference:

Rarity immediately stood up straight and stared into his eyes, seeing the determination and honesty within them.

Staying with Rarity fills Spike with determination

.

6868673

Oh, alright. I haven't played Undertale unfortunately, so I don't understand the reference.

6869343

Well you should play it when you get the chance it's an amazing game.

Cute... That's all I got, it was incredibly cute.

7189766 Thank you. There is a sequel to this, if you are interested.

7242374 I already read it... it too was super cute.

Such a sweet, heartwarming story!

9342937

Thank you ever so much. I myself am fond of this tale, even when I read it again recently and realized that it may be far better if I described details in a supplementary fashion and if I wrote in the style that I do at this moment.

There is a continuation of this tale as well, which is named Home and Heart; if you wish to see a touch of thereafter. I love these two as mates, so to read that you find it to be sweet means much.

9344934
Thank you. I'll be sure to find that story and read it, since I'm a dedicated Sparity shipper.

9345028

Truly? Magnificent. I have two other tales that you will find intriguing in the same fashion, supplementary to Home for the Holidays and Home and Heart. The Blood Moon Festival was fashioned for Halloween this year and Heart Scales and Diamonds of the Soul is the lengthiest tale so far, with twenty-nine chapters posted.

9345132
I'll have to find the time to read them. It's most heartening to find another Sparity supporter (as is Pia-Sama on Deviant Art). I really wish they'd have Rarity return his feelings in the show, but with it being a children's show and the fact that Spike is a "baby" dragon and that he'll probably outlive Rarity by centuries, that is not going to happen. I do wish she'd show him a little more affection though. After "The Secret of My Excess" she's gone right back to acting as if she were unaware of his feelings.

Poor Spike! It's no joke to be a poor homely boy attracted to a drop dead gorgeous girl. And to be rejected after after being friends is something I have been through myself and which no one should have to go through. The friendship creates the illusion that one has a chance when actually the case is the exact opposite.

9345163

That is quite alright. I myself have little time to read the tales that I have located for these two wonderful and lovely creatures and I simply read my tales again due to the fact that I know how they will end. It is indeed. I truly wish for that as well and it appears that it may finally occur with how season eight and the Best Gift Ever has proceeded.

Purely because it is a children's show does not mean that romance cannot occur. Do not lose that desire to view Rarity and Spike as mates due to it being a show directed largely at little ones. I won't mention any matters about season eight or the special if you have yet to watch them, yet it is lovely to see these two near one another and they do appear to be paired with one another in a supplementary fashion. Rarity does appear to be intrigued with him now; however, which is magnificent.

It is not only disappointing for Spike because he has not had all of his feelings reciprocated, yet it is also rather disheartening for Rarity. Spike is a wonderful creature and has ceaselessly been proving himself to be a knight in shining scales worthy to be her mate and yet it does not occur. Rarity herself is lovely and has proven time and again to care deeply for the dragon, especially throughout season eight and as Vic Fontaine has eloquently phrased it in Deep Space Nine's episode, "His Way", although not in direct quotes, she already sees you as a friend and it won't take much to change her mind, especially since she already likes you.

I relate to these two also. I am a hopeless romantic and a drama queen like Rarity, so for these two to not be joined together by the end of this series would be rather absurd and atrocious, especially due to Spike merely being four years younger than her. Yet I do have hope that in the fifth generation of My Little Pony, these two will be mates and perhaps even have little ones of their own. Well, that would be fantastic.

Yes, that as well. The fact that this relationship has not yet occurred during an episode implies that they believe that true circumstances like this don't lead to mating pairs and that is quite erroneous. It is likely not on purpose, yet it may be peered upon in that fashion regardless.

Finally, due to Rarity being a unicorn and Spike being a dragon, yet having a noticeable interest in each other, for them to become mates will aid little ones in realizing that it shouldn't matter how a human appears, what gender they are or where they are born. If two creatures love one another, that is purely the matter to be regarded.

Okay, that was really sweet. Masterfully done, Ms. Dragoness. I enjoyed all of your characterizations, and the mistletoe was employed to perfection! I’ll try to check the sequel soon. (Hope you enjoyed my characterization of Sparity in Amulet so far... unless you have only been reading the comic.)

10073428

Oh, thank you, dear. That is very sweet. Goodness, there is no need to be so formal. Victoria will suffice. I do appreciate your courtesy as well, of course, calling me miss, but Mrs. Dragoness would be more accurate. I am a married dragoness, after all.

Naturally, Rarity does have quite the romantic touch and I happen to think that Pinkie would love to see these two lovebirds together.

Thank you, Sparkle, if I may call you that. I have enjoyed the pie war in the comics, if that is what you are referring to. Truthfully, that is how I found your story. I am glad that General Rarity, Pie Avenger and her loyal Colonel Spike could deal with that issue together. If not, that purely has me more interested to see what other romantic situations that they find themselves in. I trust that I will see more of these two together.

I love the drawings too; very vivid and warm colors and detail. I drew the cover art for each tale regarding Rarity and Spike. I have an account on Deviantart too, but it is not under the same name.

10077440
Well, Victoria..
I am married too... 26th anniversary coming up, six beautiful children, etc... And sure, you can call me Sparkle. Or Sparks. Either works.

And while my Sparity in action is only a subplot of The Amulet of Shades, it will be a fun subplot. I'll refer you to the 2nd half of chapter nine for the story. Just page half-way down... Twi is spying on Spike, trying to figure out where his growth spurt is coming from... that's all I'll say. chapter nine link

Funny thing about the pie fight... It really has nothing to do with the main plot of AoS, except to show that goings on in Ponyville are pretty much the same. It is in the comic, by in my fimfic acount here I published it as a side arc because it distracted from the main plot too much. :unsuresweetie:

10078347

Oh my goodness, congratulations, dear. It will be three years for my sweetheart and I quite promptly. We have two magnificent and adorable little ones together, with another well on the way.

Well, I will be happy with any sort of romantic relationship between Rarity and Spike, as long as it is a joyful one, mind. I will be positive to read your story from the beginning.

Yes, I saw that there is no chapter with an unambiguous name for that. Honestly, I would think that it would be rather transparent. I am glad that it is not purely in the comic. I simply like it for showing how well Rarity and Spike work together.

This is certainly quite the cute story. I love its simplicity and relatability, starting off with a familiar scene of the mane six having a grand ol’ time, being who they are countless other moments through the years of the show. Then, the plans they have for the holidays are revealed, eliciting various emotions from anticipation, excitement, fondness, and (while quite opposing, still stands most understandably) melancholy, knowing that they’ll be apart for the remainder of the season. Further emphasized in Rarity’s reveal of her own plan. Standing parallel is the warmth that Rarity has for the one particular creature that has always been at her side, and is somewhat reaching a realization in the event of coming to terms with her own disappointments in dying traditions.

Maybe I’m making it sound more complex than it is, but I feel that’s the amount of respect you’ve given this story and that relationship.

All in all, well done.

10079356

Oh, thank you ever so much. I can't possibly imagine a sweeter or more generous response than that. I always try to keep the characters in my story accurate to the show, while adding a touch of maturity to the circumstances. Rarity has always shown a certain affection for Spike, precisely like he does for her. I also happen to suspect that Pinkie loves the idea of those two being together romantically.

No, I don't think that you embellished at all. It is a simple, sweet and entertaining story for the giving season and for Rarity and Spike as a couple. They really do help each other to improve, not to mention that they have saved each other's lives on several occasions. I always try to show that facet of their complicated relationship too. I don't think that any relationship in the series matured more than theirs did.

Thank you once again for brightening my day, dear.

Hello 😁 This was an awesome heart warming Sparity story. I have several 1000 word stories about them that I've posted. I just love writing those stories. I started writing them on January 31st 2021 when I became positive for Covid. They kept me sane from the quarantine. Yet now I am hooked in writing them.
