She's overly romantic, so she's not gonna just give it up, she has some rather ridiculous standards, she wanted a literal prince at one point, she can take care of herself, as we saw with the diamond dogs and blue blood, and as far as the story goes she's only 21-23, 5 years from Spike depending on her actual birthday.
And it most likely feels rushed because you didn't read the story it stems from where this would be a direct addition to the one chapter, or because there isn't a lot of foreplay or anything, in which case, ya know, vanilla sex.
