Melodia, the queen of evil was defeated after her near attempt at conquering the kingdoms. Thirsting for revenge, she trains her kind-hearted daughter, Princess Fluttershy, to follow in her hoofsteps and become just as cruel and evil as she. When Fluttershy receives a letter inviting her to attend a special school for princesses, she sees a chance of finding her true self, and her mother sees it as a way to create her own sinister plan. One that could plunge the kingdoms into darkness.

Liked this chapter though, and is there maybe an element of Wicked in here too? I don't know it isn't obvious, but I just keep thinking about the musical when I read this. Oh well, can't wait to see the interactions between Fluttershy and the teachers, especially Luna and Discord.
To mythic Flame: Sorry about calling Spitfire a lady, I wanted to make her and the Wonderbolts a band of knights, but I wasn't sure if Sir Spitfire worked, because they didn't really have female knights in the olden days. Maybe I can have a whole bit involving Spitfire making it clear that just because she's called a lady, it doesn't affect her ability of being a noble knight.

I have to say though this is gettin' good!
I wanted to add Discord into the story in a creative way. And in my mind, Discord being "forced" to be a teacher to help reform him and get him to learn friendship or getting along with other ponies was too good to pass up.
Feed back time: This is the part where [u]you[/u], the reader, help give me inspirational ideas to use to clear my writer's block and continue the story. Here is the following scenario:
A good (but not contrived) excuse for Fluttershy to spend more time with Discord. All I've got is wrongful detention, but I'm not sure. Your thoughts?
Wait...what?! No Discord moment?! Just a brief little skim?! What?!

And also when Discord shoved Fluttershy into the teapot, all I could think of was Alice in Wonderland.
Honestly, I loved the Three's a Crowd reference, all I thought about when he conjured the items was the song.
And HOW do you update so quickly!? This is a really great story, and I've read stories that are equally good, and often take longer to update! Did you have this story planned out in advance?
Still loved this chapter, and I suppose the month long wait for Discord is so he can spend even more time with Fluttershy, and begin to doubt what he wants?
But I'm also guessing it won't be too had for Twilight to figure out who Fluttershy's mother is now that she's seen a portrait: I bet she's going to start researching past queens the minute she returns to the school, am I right?

Why wasn't Discord there? It just seems like he would be there pulling up the popcorn, watching Fluttershy unleash her magic and then enjoying the argument between the teachers afterwards. Maybe even standing up for Fluttershy?
And is Luna going to be supportive to Fluttershy now? She was doubtful about Fluttershy coming, but now she seems really eager, unless she just wants the extra security to ensure everyone else is safe?
This was a really nice chapter, can't wait for the next one!

Love the Harry Potter-esque feel to this! And you write very well, and so far, good characterization!
You know, it seems that Fluttershy's mother honestly believes what she is doing is being done for the good of her daughter, which means the most likely way that would break her of said beliefs would be for her actions, either directly, or indirectly, causing lasting harm to her daughter in a major way. The most likely method of harm to her daughter that would have an impact on her emotional state is depriving her daughter of something she places a great deal of value upon. Seeing as Ms Melodia places a great deal of importance on the magic she and her child is capable of, the permanent loss of such abilities would be a near lethal wound, and possibly a fate worse than death in her eyes, so that is what she will cause Fluttershy to loose, her eyes.
Is Melodia having regrets?!

I believe that the feminine version of Sir is Dame. When women are knighted nowadays, which they do in England for anyone they think is awesome (a number of actors have been knighted simply for being great actors, for instance), they're referred to as Dame. So Dame Spitfire would probably be better.
