What if Twilight decided to fight fire with fire when dealing with Starlight's time warping revenge plan?
Not what she expects.
Inspired by something I felt would've been good to actually see in the episode and would've added to it. I feel it'd have been a great scene had Twilight tried to fight fire with fire and change the past so Starlight's plan could never happen to begin with.

interesting I do wonder what might have been caused that future but i guess we'll never know.
Very interesting. I am very much intrigued at finding out just what that future Twilight did that made things turn out so horribly wrong.
Ok see something like this would have been way better than what happened in the episode. Though I still don't like the fact that there was no explanation whatsoever of how Starlight got enough power to match the alicorn of magic in just a year.
This is a serious improvement on the finale in my opinion.
That was not what I expected. I was kind of hoping Twilight goes back in time to Starlight's childhood, and ends up making sure she stays friends with Starburst. Twilight did claim that somehow every friendship strengthens the forces of good, or something to that effect.

I mean, she was already powerful enough to rip the cutie marks off of a group of ponies at once, so she had to have been a powerhouse even then. By all accounts she seemed to have invented that spell herself and she only continues to amaze by rewriting Starswirl's work and Hijacking the Cutie Map. There's no doubt she's among the most magically talented ponies seen to date. (which is somewhat ironic considering her hatred of talent and exceptionalism)

TRIXIE wants to be special more than anything, and is stuck with painfully average abilities and has a talent for STAGE MAGIC in a world where REAL MAGIC is quite common, and more than that, went to a school for the future arch-mages and was a centuries long talent search for the Element of Magic Celestia could train to cure her sister, WITH a talent for STAGE magic (and given she didn't have the power to be a bully, and is too proud to be ANYONE'S toady, she was likely at the bottom of the totem poll), I don't imagine her experiences there were a pleasant one.
Starlight Glimmer HATES ponies who are "more important" than others, those chosen by fate for greatness while others are chosen by fate to collect garbage every Monday. In all likely hood she HATES Twilight for being a "more important pony" and also hates her for making her develop her talent and abilities, since in all likelihood, Glimmer HATES her own cutie mark.
Trixie wants to be special but lacks the power to rise above her peers, Glimmer wants to be among nothing but equals but her power always sets her apart from there.

Starswirl prooves a unicorn can be more powerful than an alicorn. It doesn't say anywhere that they can't. That's purely a fan made up idea.
If she doesn't end up makings friends with Starlight, Equestria is doomed. Either the Mane 6 die in the Crystal Empire when it's lost to the weather or nobody rescues them from the changelings, doom ing Equestria.
