The story takes place after The Hooffields and McColts.
Having solved a friendship problem themselves, Twilight and Fluttershy crash for the night at a local inn. There, Twilight confesses a problem she had been thinking about since they solved the conflict between the Hooffields and McColts. Namely how they could have solved the problem sooner. What happens afterwards is Fluttershy blurting out a secret she kept close to her heart since Twilight was made the Princess of Friendship.

Eh. Fluffy one shot gonna fluffy one shot. If it were a much longer one shot or it was the start of a full story then I'd agree, but I think it's alright for things to be sped up to that point for the purposes of a fluff piece.

A little fast, but it was meant to be fluff, just as that other commenter said. I like that you mentioned the making use of Fluttershy's talent thing, as why else would she have gone? I've added this to my group Romance is Magic.
They went back to Ponyville, back to their normal lives or another adventure. What adventure could that be? I'll admit, if I were to write about that adventure sexy times would ensue but I'm guessing that isn't what crossed your mind when you ended it that way.

That confession happened way too fast and was completely ooc for both of them.
In the span of only a handful of lines they went from being embarrassed and awkward about sharing a bed to
"You're so princess-y now, Twilight. I love you."
"Thank you, Fluttershy. I love you, too."
And then they went home. The End.
Everything up to that point was pretty good.
