I'm looking forward to possible conflict between Shadow and Discord. Seeing as Shadow appears to have been much of the grim reaper's power it could be a good fight. The time travel from the previous story raises some concerns for me because if Shadow can converse with his past selves why would he have not left a warning about something as big as discord? Does this mean Shadow is killed and can't warn himself or Ezekiel?

Well that explains the changeling part now, I thought it was fluttershy since she was acting a bit off
972772 The reason I have her acting like that is because since shes known Ezekiel for awhile and they have lived together for pretty much ever since he got to Equestria. So I made her less timid around Ezekiel purely because they've been around each other for about a year now. She not to out of character though, is she?

I have a question about how ezekiel can be a merc. he may do other things, but he still pulls hits. if he is supposted to be watched how come no one has gotten on his case about it?
also, it amazes me on how much a hypocrite he is. he keeps going on about how humans are evil, yet does nothing to show himself other than. in this chapter even he says that he does hits, then the end of it shames ponies for abusing a changeling (unacceptable but understandable) as though he has the moral high ground. there is only so far that mental instability can be used as an excuse.

yes he is not perfect, but the part that bothers me is that the writing is putting him in a place of higher moral than others even when he has done the same if not worse. It's an attempt to make him sympathetic, but then he does things of his own will that ruin it. such as refuse help for his very unstable mind or willingly go on hits.
973152 You bring some good points hopefully this clears up a few things:
1.)He is still being watched but if you haven't noticed hes not the brightest human out there and had a derp. He simply forgot.
2.)He doesn't like doing hits and he hopes that the ponies that owe money pay so it doesn't come to that (I tried to show that but I guess I failed). And since they're so few he made an exception. And yes he will regret it somewhere down the line.
And 3.)He has accepted help but doesn't think it will do anything like in the last chapter when he said. "Do what ever you want. Nothing will work." So in a round-about way he is accepting help and as for the morality issue. I kinda agree with you but as you can see his sense of morality is in flux due to the fact the "Dark Ezekiel" hasn't been taken care of yet
Also his motto is "If you pay then I'll get it done." So there I hope that clears some things up.
