How did you become such a genius?!
I love the idea of a MLP/Oz crossover, and this is written very well. That said, this is very much a middle chapter without the requisite setup. You'd do the concept better by writing the full story from the beginning. I'd definitely read something longer like that.
I find it hilarious that Pinkie can keep talking so much, despite being rusted shut (whereas the original Tinman could only mumble a little). Possibly without even moving her mouth, because she's Pinkie.
So Applejack's the Scarecrow, Pinkie's the Tinman, and Twilight is Dorothy. Spike would be Toto, but the others? Fluttershy as the Cowardly Lion, perhaps? (Or Rainbow Dash? Or both as a lion duo, since there aren't enough main roles?) Rarity as Glinda, the Good Witch? Trixie as the Wizard, and Chrysalis as the Wicked Witch?

The wizard ought to be Discord in disguise.
6618172 Could work, although the original wizard was revealed to be a charlatan who ultimately couldn't do the fancy magic he pretended at, and resorted to trickery instead. Hence why I feel Trixie would be a better fit.

I was originally going to make this a one shot, which is why it's in the middle of the story, byt I changed my mind. I'll try to get those flash-back stories up soon. :)
