Shimmering Sea discovers she was adopted as a foal, but now is not sure where to start in her search for her birth family. She decides to seek the help of Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship for advice but instead, she gets thrust into a magical map adventure in which everyone learns something new.
I only categorized as Teen because of sensitive topics (ie. adoption, abandonment issues, and a slight reference to sex on a beach).
There will be merponies in this story! And the AU is only in reference to who the father is!
Check back frequently because I'm always adding more stuff to already existing chapters!

The pacing of the story feels just a bit rushed. I'm new to writing myself, i seem to suffer from a slower pacing problem though.
Overall though I like where the story is going plot wise.- very interesting and had me reading on with care.

I find myself rushing over the boring bits to get to the good stuff. And then the good stuff is usually long and detailed. It's a terrible habit that I've been trying to break for years but it does not look like I will succeed.
