Even if they are cousins according to the genealogy research Pinkie did they would be her 42nd cousins. That's 42 generations of family right there. They would be far too distant for it to even matter.
6564758 Yeah cousins....how many greats was it before a common shared ancestor? I'm thinking it was at least 10. While yeah they are certainly family its at such a distance it wouldn't really matter. Really anything beyond 1st cousins doesn't make much difference. Marrying 1st cousins (1 set of shared Grandparents) is a 3% increase of genetic defects in children resulting from the match(To an overall 6% chance compare to a normal pairings 3% average) So yeah double the risk there. 2nd cousins(1 set of shared great-grandparents) and further out have a negligible increase.

Fundamentally, what's wrong with this story is that you had Marble break her established character to turn it into what amounts to a Farmer's Daughter joke, but one with no punchline. You are perhaps also failing to consider that the situation which you've set up might have serious social consequences for both of them. Really, this might not be a happy occurrence.
