Still pretty new to this community. Started working on my first fanfic right after finishing the series. Have a second one going now.

Sequels1

T

This story is a sequel to My Little Hero

Harry Dresden is a wizard of the White Council and the Winter Knight of the Fairy Courts. With the help of his friends, he has protected the city of Chicago from plagues, ghosts, demons, vampires, and other things that go bump in the night. But when six mysterious girls pop up around the city claiming to be from another world inhabited by ponies, Harry finds himself on a strange roller coaster filled with ponies, Outsiders, and strange Halloween pranks.

So far so good can't wait for more. I hope that there will be a bit more dialog and a bit less exposition but I'm enjoying reading it :)

6561260 It depends on who is telling the story. Some will have more dialog while others will have more exposition.

It was also Official Natural Territory under the Unseelie Accord

i Think you mean neutral

6562271 How the heck did I miss that one? Thank you for pointing that out! :D

You need to be careful about homonyms.
For example 'haste/ heist', 'assistance/assistant'

6575115 I'll be honest, I'm not the best writer in the world, I never claim to be. Homonyms would be my bane. I could read what I wrote a million times and never realize I used the wrong spelling of a word. I try to catch them when I can, but again I may never notice. I'm sorry if it's noticeable.

I decided to drop the gore tag, or category, cause there's not really a lot of mention of such. And I dropped the rating to teen. If anyone feels I should change it back, let me know and I will.

Poor Pinkie, I take it her tiredness isnt something that can be solved with a mere 500lb Twinkie. :pinkiesad2:

Okay, BIG, BIG problem in this chapter. Only Wizards can Soul gaze and Miss (Not Mrs) Gard isn't a Wizard, she isn't even human or a Wizard level magic user. Sigrun Gard is a Valkyrie and so is a at least Semi-divine being from Norse myth rather than a mortal woman.

Should not be surprised. That's Cowl's agenda try to become a god.

Oh dear, not another idiot who thinks Gods get you all.

Theres always a bigger fish. Even if its a nanoscopic terminal viral infection.

Discord uses Dwarf Toss.

Its Super Effective. :pinkiecrazy:

Yea.....this is not done here for sure....

Story would be much improved by an editor. Even moreso by one with a better sense of names.

fairy

Calling a fae a 'fairy' is like calling a human an ape. It's highly offensive and most of them won't take kindly at all.

"We deal with crap in the Nevernever, that's the fairy realm,”

The realm of the Fae is part of the Nevernever, not the other way around. In fact the Nevernever theoretically stretches indefinitely.

Little more than a hundred moons ago,

A moon is 28 days. That's why when the Equestria Girls portal closes, it opens once every two and a half years.. So what would a hundred moons be, class?

"He's a White Count Vampire."

I really hope that's a typo. White COURT vampire, like a king's court.

First off, yes it's been two years now. I have been busy since I wrote this story. So sorry for no reply until now I guess? If you even still care. XD
Second, I completely agree that having an editor would have been a big help on this story. I did have help for the Discord chapters and some comments have pointed out errors I have made, but I could never find someone to actually bounce ideas and drafts off of. As much as I would love to find someone to edit my work, I don't have time as it is to work on anything new so I don't think it would matter now.

I'll be honest, even now it's hard for me to keep track of what to call Fae and Fairy and the Nevernever. This is one part of The Dresden Files that I gave up on trying to wrap my head around and assumed they were all the same thing. I will probably never be able to tell the difference in most cases. And at the time of writing this story, I would run into conflicting information this also. I'm sure if I had the time to do so, I could fix this in not only this story but other works I've started a long time ago, but I haven't had the time to do so.

Fixed. One of probably many other miss keyed words.

I was not expecting responses to this, but ok. I forgot I left these comments.

So, about the Fairy and the Nevernever...

The parts of the Nevernever typically 'closest' to the real world (or the material world) are controled by the Fae or Sidhe (pronounced 'she' if you're wondering). It may be wise to consider that more 'most resembles' rather than 'geographically closest'. The areas of Fae control are the safest to traverse. Which is saying something, because it's still very likely to get you killed or enslaved if you aren't well educated.

The Nevernever is all that is or could be, by the rules of our world. It is imagination. It is dream. It is all the beauty and horror that we could imagine. Within lies great deserts of diamond sand lit by a black sun, within are areas where there is no air, where the air itself is alive, or even where the ground acts like water. It is everything you could imagine, that you have context to imagine. Anything if not everything is somewhere in the Nevernever. Beyond the Nevernever, outside all that is and could ever be in our world... are the Outer Gates, leading to the denizens of the unknowable and the terrible, the things that would see everything beyond warped twisted dead and suffering even beyond what a demon would wish for.

Think of it, if you like, as the ocean, if under the land were vast underground rivers that ran crossed and surfaced in the strangest places. The black abyss we cannot explore save through vague imagination (and science) would be the outermost reaches of the Nevernever. The places where light still shines and things we might recognize are those areas near Fairy. The part we sail and swim in is Fairy itself, ruled by the Fae of Summer and Winter.

One of the biggest reasons you don't make a gate into the Nevernever in Bad Places is that the physical world's connection with the Nevernever is sporadic, and the things that have happened, the metaphysical 'spirit' of an area affects where it will dump out into the Nevernever. The Ways are known roads and points where you can exit and leave to get where you want, but if you enter and leave at random, you can end up anywhere. Absolutely anywhere. Near anything.

When writing this, I could not find anything definitive about how long a "moon" was defined as in MLP. I did think it would be the same as a real life moon cycle, but I could find nothing saying it was the same for the show. I even ran into conflicting information about this when I tried researching it. It was everything from from full to full, or about 28 days, to how many times the moon rose and fell. If what they call a moon is just a full cycle and the cycle is about the same as a real world moon cycle, then 100 moons would be a little over 8 years. If we went from rise to fall, then that would be simply 100 days.
I know I had read somewhere that a hundred moons in the MLP universe meant one year, and that's what I went with in the story. I know this cause I wrote this to take place a little over a year after my first story. Again, I couldn't find any definitive answer what was canon for the universe, but this one was what I found to be most widely accepted and easy to understand.
Also it makes more sense to me that their measurement of time would be different from ours. Say 100 moons to them is one year for us. But 100 moon cycles for us is several years for them. Think of Narnia in that regards. Years can past by in Narnia when only moments past here. In fact, if I remember correctly, I had planned to bring that point up in my third installment if I ever had gotten around to it...or one of my one-off spin-offs or something. I have notes somewhere.

When I was more active, I tried to reply to anyone who caught a mistake I had made, especially if it was a critical error like the one with Gard that will forever haunt me. I would love to get back to writing more but I just never have the time. And I probably would have never noticed if I didn't for some reason decide to check this site before going to bed.

Despite perhaps lacking some polish, this still ended up being an entertaining enough read and a solid enough story. Whilst admittedly not having read the previous one due to having come to this for the Dresden content, it still managed to stand well enough on it's own, and appreciated it nevertheless.
