I'm a little mixed on this...Major props to Fancy and Coco for helping Spike and Rarity able to get the one thing that Rarity can't get because Spike's swimmers can't make it to port....a biological foal.
And I can't help it, but even as supportive and loving and grateful for this momentous gift, a part of me can't help but wonder and worry that Spike may be a bit resented because he had to have another stallion be a sperm donor so that his pony wife is able to experience the miracle of life in her own body. In a way it could be a bit emasculating--almost like the world is saying that he's not man...er, stallion enough to give a mare what she really wants and in a way needs, and that another stallion was able to do the job. As much as Rarity was seeing a bit of depression because she doesn't have a kid (yet), I could see this being flipped so that Spike's the one that is depressed, and it goes back to that he's a dragon in a pony world.

While it's nice of Fancy Pants to make this offer, I feel that Rarity and Spike should have considered adopting. I just feel sorry for Spike. this will make him feel even more of an outsider.
Nice job. I liked this story. I hope to see a sequel showing whether the whole thing worked or not (I know it's most likely going to work, but you never know what'll happen in a story until you read it).
