Times with which my 'fair sister' does not speak... So, do forgive me if I shatter the porcelain image of your beloved Princess, but her lies have stood as history a bit too long for my tastes. After more than a thousand years of ruling Equestria without opposition, it's time you heard the truth. This is the tale of Discord's arrival and the fall of Everfree, both literally and figuratively.

AN: This is the first story in The Alicorn Chronicles, a series that is built on the concept of an alternate history of Equestria; one that rarely directly conflicts with canon, but rather is built around and atop it. It offers a different version of events to expand upon the unknown and unspoken periods of Equestrian history, and is an alternate history based around the concept that Celestia has manipulated of history - mostly through omission - for her own benefit.
