It was a fun little story until the surprise ending. Why did you have to kill them? It was completely out of character for Twilight.

Nah, the way I've written it (or so i believe) is that Twilight just ended up killing both. I did write a Twixie ending just for the fun of it (cause I'm awful at shipping) and in that one, at least one Trixie survives.

Twilight knew that Trixie wouldn't have taken the challange if she had told her the truth, leaving the intent of wanting to remove both. If you want to fool yourself into thinking there was a third Trixie and all was right in the world, be my guest, but know that I wrote it with the sole intent of having both removed.

My twist on this ending is the man from Princess Bride (inconthhhievable!) winning, which is Twilight in this case. I'm not sure exactly how it works (or maybe Twilight just wanted to kill her OR I'm just being a completely random idiot which is far more likely), but the motivation simply was to make an ending no one was quite suspecting.
