Great thanks to them both.

So this is what I think of life, in a nutshell. I hope it was fine. But... I've got my concerns...

Edit: Well this is interesting. When you're done, go read this: Waiting
I am in no way affiliated with the story, and it's pure coincidence (I think) that it came out two days later than mine. Either way, great follow-up to this if you wanted one. Or consider this a prelude. Whichever you want. It's truly a well-done fic, and has definitely earned a slot in my favorites.

IT SO BOOTIFUL :fluttercry:

I was going to leave a comment about how I liked this. How it was short, nice, and a good meaning. But I won't. Good day.

Lynked... Seriously what is bothering you? :rainbowderp: This was a great read and I am not saying this to be nice. It is my honest and truthful opinion. Why would you wish to forget doing this? I think I need to prepare my own essay to cheer you up. I just want you to know that what you wrote was incredible and you need to realize that. The point is cheer up a bit man and know that your friends are always there for you when you aren't feeling to good.

Living life for the sake of life itself? I think you'll find that sentiment shared by a good number of people.

And don't be upset for posting a story, even if only one person likes it you'll have done a good thing (and you have way more than one.)

For practical purposes, this is how I view the meaning of life.

And this story is great. I like Luna, and I like seeing Celestia trying to help out her little sister. You have made me happy this day.

Now, what's wrong? Why are you depressed?

667218 668466 It's a sensitive matter. Thanks for the words though, I appreciate them.

*Reads authors notes before hand*
lynked's view of the meaning of life? gotta read it now!

667218 Ha ha, I do that speech thing and then kick myself for it. :rainbowlaugh: I know where you're coming from, though.

670038 'a sensitive matter'... I have no clue what's going on here. I'm not even going to try to understand you, Lynked.

670246 It is a very sensitive matter. Please, I'm not being funny, it's not pretty right now. I'm not upset or anything, but still...

670315 sorry, just me in my normal, silly demeanour. Also, the main reason that I tagged TheLoyalBrony is because of the advice on the bottom: it's generally what I try to get across in these situations. They're always ready to lend a helping hand, or an ear, whenever you need it. In that sense, they're at your beck and call.

Also, I'm saying "they're" because there is a lot more people out there willing to help than you realise. Just keep yourself together and everything will end up fine. Friendship, trust, loyalty and love will pull you this way and that, but the important thing is that they'll take you through it, guiding or forcing, and make sure everything is ok.

670348 Sometimes, I don't want help, because I feel bad about asking something from other people.

I'm about to slump into one of my philosophical downfalls.
I think that, sometimes, life runs out of worth. It's not that life isn't worth it, but that life is so daft that it had no worth to begin with. Well instead I suppose I should say meaning.
People may be there for me, and I have a family, and I even have my fiction, but what I wonder is; what does it matter? Who really gives a damn? What have I done, or ever will do, that is important? And then, in the end, will it even matter? Even if heaven and hell, or whatever else, is real, who says that I'll be worth something then, hmm? Nope, not even then. Thing is, I think we live to live, but wherein is the value in that?
And please, for the love of Celestia, don't say 'love'. The more I think about it, it's a genetic coding to lump human beings together in order to counteract the fear of facing life alone.
And then, when alone, it seems better off because you don't lie to yourself and say that you're worth something.
People care, but in the end, so what? Don't get me wrong, I like that people care, but I still wonder, with such a measly little scrap-life we're all stuck with, what would it matter?

Basically, no matter what anyone does, I feel alone.

So... that bothers me a bit.

670315 Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Like Cenitopius said, "We" are here for you and will help you in whatever way you can. Stay strong my friend.

670414 Help.
Help doesn't work when you feel alone and estranged.

Fuck, I've put myself into a slump and I'm whining.
Sorry.

670393 I understand about that, and I would try to contradict you on the matter, but then I'd be wrong. People sometimes just don't want help, but as much as we're here, it's a website, you can always just close the link.
Some people like to think of time as a dimension, or a piece of string, but really, it's more like a massive painting. The thing about time is that everyone has something that they want to paint, but it's not down on the paper until they do it.
Each life is like a painting; it's as beautiful and touching, or as scruffy and hidden, as large or as small as the artist makes it, but their motive on painting, and their skill with the brush always leaves some perks or drops.
The point is, each person has a painting, no matter how small, but it's needed to be used as a piece of the bigger picture.
Again, if you want to find warmth under that, then that's what it's there for, but even if you don't, it's not a huge waste of paint, is it?

~again, I'm not very good at metaphors.

670442 It's alright man and I meant to post that comment before you posted yours before mine. I suppose all I can do is offer you words of wisdom. If you don't want to read this then you don't have to, I understand completely.

I get what you are saying when you wonder what is the point in living life and do our actions mean anything, but let's look at this from a different angle. What is the point in not living life? Not living life is like not doing something you enjoy. Whether it's meaningless or not we do it for a reason. The same goes for life, it is something that was given to us for a reason. A reason that each individual defines and it all leads up to the same thing, life. What would it matter? No one can answer that, however you will never know what or if it matters unless you live your life and do what you do. If you want to keep reading I have some quotes below.

Look, I don't want to wax philosophic, but I will say that if you're alive you've got to flap your arms and legs, you've got to jump around a lot, for life is the very opposite of death, and therefore you must at very least think noisy and colorfully, or you're not alive. -Mel Brooks
Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact. -William James
Don't let life discourage you; everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was. -Richard L. Evans
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. -Buddah
It's all about quality of life and finding a happy balance between work and friends and family. -Philip Green
Life is a succession of moments, to live each one is to succeed. -Corita Kent

Always know that we are here for you.

TheLoyalBrony
