Luna's Dream Adventures

Water

"Let go!" A white unicorn called out

"Not until your safe!" A grey earth pony yelled back

"Just let me go! It's my fault we're in this mess!"

"Vinyl I swear if you don't shut up, I will drop you off this waterfall!"

"Octavia please. You going to fall too. I'm too heavy! Besides...."

"Just shut up!" Octavia interupted. "I'll figure something out." Vinyl Scratch looked around while her friend held onto her, over the edge of the waterfall at winsome falls.

They had been camping, and a certin DJ wanted to get a recording of the waterfall for a new song. After slipping and falling while leaning over the water, Octavia had grabbed Vinyl.The force of the river was too powerful, preventing her from pulling her unicorn friend back to safty.

"I have a idea! You have to trust me though." Vinyl yelled to her friend.

"You scare me, when you ask me to trust you." Octavia replied with a 'don't do anything stupid' glare

"On the count of 3, let me go. I promise I will be ok."

"Are you crazy!" Octavia yelled in dibelief

"Yes!" Vinyl yelled back with a slight chuckle in her voice "Now let go in 3,2,....."

They both were slightly startled at a flash of white light. "Princess Luna!" The two recited in unison

"I got you" Luna said flying up. Grabing the two musicans in her aura, she lowered them saftly to the ground by the lake

"Thank you! Thank you princess Luna." Octavia squeeked bowing

"Hey Princess. Thanks for helpin out." Vinyl said a little more casually. Smirking at the death glare her friend was giving her.

"You know it is deep enough here, that you could have just jumped." Luna retorted with a smile "Ponies do it all the time"

"I'm aware. Try explaining that to her though." Vinyl explained looking over at Octavia who was standing in shock.

"Vinyl, show the Princess a little more respect!" Octavia growled. "I am so sorry for my friends behavior."

"It's perfectly fine. We know each other, because I hire her for a lot of my non-formal parties. Along with Pinkie Pie." Luna explained

Luna and Vinyl looked at each other and bursted out laughing at the memory of last time they saw each other. "I see that your coat is white again." Luna snickered

"And yours isn't" Vinyl got out through her giggling

Luna looked pale and beat red at the same time "We shall never do that again."

Luna and Vinyl just burst up laughing as Octavia was struck speachless.

"You, and Luna, I, I mean the princess, uhhh. Huh?" The earth pony couldn't even bring herself to make a full sentence.

Luna put up a sound barrier around the two. "How long should we wait untill we tell her that we were just hiding inside a birthday cake for my sisters birthday?" Luna giggled

Vinyl got a mischivious smile "Who says we have to tell her?" Understanding Luna nodded in agreement before dropping the barrier

"Hey Princess, want to do that again?"

"Ms. Scratch!" Octavia squeaked turning bright red

"What? It was yummy!" The unicorn laughed

Luna just sat back and watched the show

"How could you say such a thing in public!"

"It's true! I wish I could have more of it."

Octavia was at a lost of what to say. Turning bright red thinking of Vinyl and the Princess. It was unthinkable "Uhhh..."

"I am sorry, but I really must steal your friend for a little bit." Luna cut in with a smile. "There is something I must do." Luna walked up to the unicorn before teliporting them to the top of the waterall where they could talk privetly without Octavia noticing.

Vinyl started laughing as soon as she saw her friend, still in shock. "I'm scared what is going through her head right now."

"You set that up too perfectly, knowing her of course. I am afraid to know what you are capable of." Luna looked around at the location. "It really is beautiful here. No wonder so many love comming here."

"Love Princess?"

Luna glared at the unicorn. "Don't you even dare.

"Fine, fine. So what up?"

"I was alerted to your dream because you were having a nightmare. If you don't figure out why you are having a nightmare, if could come back again." The night princess explained

"So you are going to help me figure out why I'm having a nightmare?" Vinyl looked over to the river, still soaking wet from her "swim" earlier.

"Exactly." Luna walked up next to Vinyl, admiring the beauty of the river.

The DJ looked confused for a moment "So, how exactly does this work Princess?"

"Lets start with what you were doing before you fell asleep."

A blush came across Vinyls cheeks "I don't think I can really talk about it."

"I think I can take a guess" Luna couldn't help but feel a blush. "We are good friends though, and I need to know, in order to help you." the night princess explained

"Well you see, me and Octavia were watching a movie, and..." she trailed off, and it was obvious to Luna that she was trying to hold back her giggling.

"Well you see, we had a few too many drinks." She admitted

"Ok, this isn't getting us anywhere." The alicorn groaned before getting a michivious smile. "How about this, it is obvious that you are emberessed by this, so what if I told you something emberessing about me."

"Thats not fair" Vinyl pouted "You'll remember this, and most likely I won't after I wake up."

"So that is a no?"

"Heck naw. Spill" She said with a goofy grin

"Well you see, when I was younger I used to love to disguise myself as a regular unicorn and attend the local school." She explained smiling at the memories flooding in

"Thats pretty funny and all, but not exactly what I had in mind."

"I'm not finished." Luna levitated Vinyls glasses off, and put them on herself. "While I attended school, I used to use my magic to make myself all purple, with a white and ice blue mane. I hid my cutie mark and called myself Ice cream Cake."

Hearing the name Vinyl couldn't help but burst up laughing. "Who came up with that!" She giggled trying to catch her breath

"My sister of course." after a moment Luna and Vinyl started laughing. "Your turn."

Vinyl shook her head trying to get a imagage of her, out of her head. "Ok, ok. So me and Octavia had a few too many drinks, and wanted to go swimming. I went to go jump in the water, and quickly found out it was frozen. I knocked myself uncountious, and woke up for a little. We ate, and then I fell back asleep."

Luna just glared at Vinyl in disbelief. "You tried to swim in a frozen pool?"

"Hey don't juge, Ms. Cake" The DJ stuck her tounge out at the princess, who quickly returned the favor.

"So, why are you having a nightmare? Is it from a head injury." Luna wondered outloud

"Naw, I think its from dinner." Vinyl had a funny look on, witch told Luna she was thinking. "We found some mushrroms in the forest while we are on a walk, and Octavia made dinner with them. They were really good, and" The unicorns eyes went wide as she remembered seeing pretty colors before opening the bottle.

"You didn't" Luna just shook her head. She loved Vinyl, she was a awesome friend, but she could act like a little filly at times.

Vinyl just sqeed in response

"So Ms. Scratch...."

"I know, I know. I'll be by the castle tomorrow. Just send me a letter as a reminder."

"Of course. Now if you don't mind, I thinki I need a drink after this." Luna and Vinyl shared a laugh after this before the Alicorn returned to the wake relm.

Dear Journal,

I ealy need ta hop goin to white music dreams. I all um ways end up real getting it.

Moon no um....

What my sister is trying to say is,

I really need to stop going into Vinyl Scratches dreams. I always end up regretting it.

She is going to hate me in the morning when I raise the sun. (Note the self, make it extra bright)
