Sunset Shimmer was sitting by a bench in the hallway. She was doing her history homework, while humming the "Shine like rainbows" song, that was still stuck in her head after months when It came out.
Nobody was in the hallway, it was quiet and peaceful, which made Sunset's learning lot easier than she expected. But, soon ended as she heard footsteps around the school. Sunset looked up from her book, to see The Dazzlings slowly walking up to her. "What the...."
Adagio Dazzle, Sonata Dusk, and Aria Blaze. Three sirens that once lived in equestria, but soon were banished to this world after all the chaos they caused. Adagio was the leader, a smart siren with hair, more softer and bigger than Pinkie's. She has s light orange skin, with darker orange hair. She had a wide smirk on her face, as well did her team mates, Aria Blaze and Sonata Dusk.
Aria Blaze was the grumpy one, she didn't care about anyone else but herself. She also wanted power and control like Adagio, and most of the time wished that she was the true leader, she felt like she was the only one with brains around here.
She had long purple hair.
And the last one in the team was Sonata Dusk. She was the clumsy, naive one. She had a blue ponytail, and loved tacos. She was most of the time clueless, but still understood what they were doing, most of the time.
All three sirens walked up to Sunset, and aproached her with a smirk. "Why, hello there Sunset." Said Adagio. "It's been a while since we have seen you."
"Yeah, It has been a while." Said Sunset. "So, how you been doing? Is everything alright?"
"Oh yeah, everything has been pretty good at the moment!" Sonata joined Sunset. "We did live on the streets for a while, and we had no idea how to get money since we only used to feed off the negative energy-"
"Sonata!" Adagio hissed. "That is not, what we came here for! Do you even remember that we were supposed to say?!"
"Uh, oh right!" Sonata chuckled. "I do!"
"Uh, idiot." Aria facepalmed.
"Anyway, we came her to tell you that we got our magic again!" Adagio chuckled. "See?"
Adagio leaned in closer to Sunset, to show off her new pendant. "Now! Now we have the power again! Our siren power to take over this world, once and for all!" She laughed.
"We may have lost last time, but we will win this time." Aria crossed her arms and showed a pride smile. "You hear that?"
"Yes, I do hear that." Sunset replied, putting down her pen and homework.
"Why.. Why aren't you surprised? Or scared...?" Adagio raised her bow at Sunset and crossed her arms as well.
"When we're going to rule the world, everyone will be forced to eat tacos! Muahaha!" Sonata laughed, trying to attempt a evil laugh.
"No, You idiot! We will not force anyone tacos!" Shouted Adagio. "How the heck did you even come up with that?"
"She has a quite strange mind." Aria said.
"How did you even get those...?" Asked Sunset.
"After our lovely pendants were broken by you "Rainbooms", I still had a chance of fixing them! And now that we have power again, you wouldn't even have a chance! Isn't that right, girls?" Adagio turned her head to Sonata and Aria with a grin.
Sonata and Aria nodded.
"Um, Alright then. But, I wouldn't think that you'll win anyway." Sunset shrugged.
"What.. what did you just say to me?!" Barked Adagio, leaning closer to Sunset.
"You were evil, and students of Canterlot High realized that after we defeated you, so why would they fall under your spell again, if they're not even going to want you at this school? And besides, even if people do fall under your spell, for some reason. Me and my friends will defeat you again. I can bet that your voices wouldn't be as good as they used to be. You are three people, we are seven. With our music playing skills and good voice, we can defeat you again anyway. So, I personally don't see any point in trying here."
"Listen, Shimmer," Adagio Dazzle grabbed Sunset by her jacket, and stared into her eyes. "Just because you think that you can defeat us, doesn't mean that it can happen!"
"Oh, it can." Sunset smirked. "It's just as simply as that."
"This is ridicules! We'll prove you wrong! We'll have everyone under our spell, and this time we'll win!"
"Yeah! This time we'll win!" Sonata shouted, joining in.
"Dream as much as you want, I don't care." Sunset grinned and shrugged. "I probably though that you'll win, in the first place. What makes you think that it will be different this time?"
"You know," Aria said. "She has a point."
"The heck, Aria?!" Shouted Adagio, almost ready to flip her off. "What are you talking about? She isn't right!"
"She is! She has more talented voices in her team anyway, why are we even trying? Everyone at this school hate us."
"Shut your stupid mouth, Aria!" Groaned Adagio. "You'll see Sunset Shimmer. Once we have everyone under our spell again, we'll defeat you this time!"
"Oh right, and I can just simply do this..." Sunset reached out for Adagio's pendant really fast and snapped it off Adagio's neck.
"What?! No!" Adagio screamed.
"See? Simply as that." Said Sunset.
"Give me that!" Adagio grabbed her pendant as fast as possible. "Great! Now, I'll have to fix this again! Let's go, girls." The Dazzlings left after that.
"Pfft, yeah right," Sunset laughed. "Just try, Adagio Dazzle. Just try."

I've had a thought about the just-snatch-the-gems-right-off-their-necks and/or crush-them-instantly approaches: How does it make any kind of sense?
Stories in which that happens, (granted, I've only seen a few) seem to either endow the grabbers with super strength or have the bands (which look to be some kind of leather, or at the very least, black cloth) made of tissue paper and gems, magical gemstones of some kind, less sturdy than glass.
I guess the case could be made that Adagio wouldn't have reacted the way she did in the movie if she didn't think of the gems as a weak point, but if a little red rock around your neck were the source of all your power, you probably wouldn't let people go fondling it either. Unless it was powered by fondling.
Love it when people just stay calm and use logic to defeat there enemy like Sunset did. Wonderful.

On another note, there were a number of spots that grammar didn't really play out like it should have. But it wasn't too far off, so the story was still readable. I'd give this one a 7/10.
Nice little short story. Really liked how Sunset just basically told them off in the nicest way possible and made them realize that they were wrong, anyway. I think you're correct in that Aria could be the leader...she's more of a thinker than the other two. Nice work!
I wonder why the Rainbooms didn't think of that before in the movie.
This could use a good bit of editor-magic, but I love the idea of Sunset with no fucks given in the face of her enemies. The Sirens, at their strongest, sang a song to summon demonic versions of their true forms. The Rainbooms sang a song that summoned a god.
I don't know about any of you, but if I were a Siren I'd have just fucking quit and joined the Rainbooms.
Uh... what? I don't see any point in this fanfic. Why would Adagio come to Sunset and say everything? Why would Adagio think it will be different? Why would Shimmer behave like this? Why would it be so easy to grab gem from her neck? How Rainbooms have better voices, if Dazzlings had better songs?
Sorry, but I hate this type of comedy when there's no logic behind. I won't downvote it, because I'm not that kind of a person, but eh

Some editing would help, the execution could use some work, but over all I like the concept presented here. In their previous confrontation the Dazzlings easily preyed on Sunset's doubts and insecurities. Here Sunset is confident and just not giving a damn about what the sirens have to say, so what if they got their powers back? She and her friends have kicked their asses before, they'll just do it again.

Well, first of all sirens could spread disharmony in other places where Rainboom can't find them :\ So it is a problem.
And what would be the point if Adagio actually scared her here? I would lead to preparation from Rainboom's side, calling Twilight e.t.s... what the point? Only dumb, bad (or psychopath) villains do such a thing.
And excuse me, whatever headcanon people who like this story have, Adagio is not a bad villain. And she doesn't seem to be psychopathic (to me).

You're forgetting Adagio has an an ego (and while she isn't a psychopath or stupid, she is a narcissist and a sociopath), she probably didn't like it being bruised. Every villain has a flaw: Adagio's is her pride. She isn't going to let that defeat, that humiliation, slide, she isn't going to just go somewhere else till she gets revenge. This is her trying to give a "we're back" message and get a reaction of despair from Sunset (it was Sunset after all who gave the Rainbooms their heroic second wind that led to the Dazzlings defeat). Once again she underestimates her enemy's resolve.

Alright I'll try and answer your questions.
Okay this isn't a question, but this is just uncalled for and rude. Anyone who doesn't like a particular fic could say they didn't see the point in it, but it obviously had a point to the person who wrote it and as of this post has 35 likes (to 5 dislikes). So people are enjoying it. I'm sorry, but these kind of comments... you might as well be saying "why write anything at all?".
I've answered this already. We just have a difference of opinion. Basically she's got her powers back, so she feels like she's on top again, and needs to gloat. It's what villains do. No matter how smart they are they always make these little hiccups that screw them over. At the very least I don't feel this action is too OOC for her. For someone with her ego being made powerless must not have been fun.
...How else should she have behaved? Should she have coward before them? Get angry? All she's doing is standing up to them by not letting them get to her like last time. Adagio is a manipulator, by not taking her threats seriously, by not giving her something to exploit (worry, anger, etc.), Sunset basically controls the conversation.
While it can be debated if its really that easy to just grab them. It sends a message: Without those pendants the Dazzlings are nothing. Sunset knows it and the Dazzlings know it.
This is personal opinion.
No offense, but I'm done with this conversation. Because I fear its going to get into a circular argument where we just keep repeating ourselves and I prefer to avoid that..

Loved this! But I was hoping for a little bit more action, like f they did this in front of the cafeteria and confronted Sunset there I’d be more interesting. Or! You can make another completely different version with a totally different scenario but with the Dazzling going to Sunset still. DRAMA IS NOT A BAD THING! It is the best thing lol, (at least in my opinion.) Anyways this was still pretty good. Nice!
