Whirring Gears

A guy with crazy ideas and a little free time.

E

[Second Person Perspective]

Thanks to the efforts of six ponies, Starlight Glimmer's reign has ended. All the cutie marks have been restored, save for the ones of your new friends. There's not much time before she makes it to the caves where you'll be unable to track her down.

During the final stretch of the chase, you're tasked with lifting Double Diamond up to the top of the hill to drop snow over the entrance to the cave. As you ascend, emotions swirl within as you realize just how fast you're flying and just how warm the stallion you're holding is.

Hm, this was something. Short and cute, almost makes me wish there was more.

A nice little spin on a moment many fans would overlook in that episode. Bravo!

You seem to have attached a magnet to your favorite button. I couldn't even finish the story before clicking it.

PLEASE make a sequel

hmm... this story isn't receiving anywhere near the publicity it deserves. Though, that's probably due to the lack of fitting tags.
I hope more people discover this story soon.

I'm not sure if the second person POV really adds anything that first or third wouldn't. But aside from some missing commas, it ain't too bad.

Well, I'm a 2nd POV author. It's just fascinating to me, from the day I discovered it to as I write this reply. I'm still trying to find new spins and angles to take it.

I noticed that. o.O Have you read To Love the Sun by Magello? The perspective is similar to this story's, save not based on any character.

Gave it a quick peek. Definitely interesting, but I don't have any plans to follow that angle; at least not in that particular way.

Wow... :rainbowderp:

That was adorable! :twilightblush:

I'm not sure that that was the description you were going for, but that's the best I could come up with.

I liked how you subtly pointed out that this all happened in five seconds: the world almost freezes when emotions like that occupy your mind, I know.

Good story, and a well-written 2nd Person fic, which is rare on here.

I take off my hat to you!
