Well dang. At first I thought this was the similarly titled Friendship is Tragic which depicted Twilight in the future after having awoken from a coma meeting her friends again, finding out how changed they all are (for the worse in all cases) and although I'm glad it's not that heart-wrenching fanfiction, I'm finding myself reading about Pinkie's death instead :pinkiesad2: I wonder where you'll take this, Can't wait for the next installment. =]

Tragic. Indeed.

You've given plenty of hooks for the rest of the story: a murder mystery, the falling apart of the Mane 6, and the overly-big storm. This is an excellent start to a story!

This is an excellently made story, i'm intrigued to find where you take this next. It's a sad story, but yet, still hasn't made me cry :ajsleepy:. I hope the next installments will make me cry so hard, the manly tears must be shed for this story!

I had to hold back a tear. I don't even know what to say in response.

Wow thanks for all the positive comments everyone. I'll be posting part two now.

You've done a good job with Rarity, as well. Sometimes, you have to remind the Spirit of Generosity to... well... be generous.

ugh this is depressing, but it's well written

That was the point, hence the sad and tragedy genre lol. Thanks for the compliment though.

I'd just like to say that all the positive comments I receive letting me know people enjoy my work is my greatest motivation. Thanks.

Not bad so far. I took me a minute to figure out exactly where the flashback began, though. You should mark it off with italics or a line to keep it separate.

“I know this is hard, but I need to ask you a few questions.”
This is otherwise a flawless sad fic... Still no tears, but I will read on

35085 Oops, sometimes it's hard to edit your own work, at least it is for me since I tend to read it the way I know it's meant to be read rather than the way it's written.

she had ran run far, far away
her selfherself (shouldn't be spaced out) for it all happening entirely
Bolded are corrections
Yes, nice work :moustache:

35090 Yes, for some reason i'm becoming a grammar nazi on even my own works, picking EVERY LITTLE DETAIL, why? I don't know, I'm usually light-hearted and free! But not anymore, i'm still hoping this will make me cry at some point thought. I'm available as a bit of a pre-reader too, since I have to postpone all of my own fics. Great story, very gripping

35096 i'm still hoping this will make me cry at some point though.

Feel free to pre-read them if you like, my fiancee and I both picked over it already, I'm not sure how we missed so many things especially since she's a huge grammar nazi. That's why she hasn't finished her fan-fic yet. :trixieshiftleft:

This is deliciously depressing.

Wait what

35101 My keyboard doesn't like to respond, and it likes to type a letter when I didn't press the damned key. Exactly why i'm not writing for the moment :trixieshiftright: Damn cheap HP keyboard!

I cried well done I love your fic

nice story keep it coming please.

Well guys, at first this was just me trying my hoof at creative writing as a test to see if anyone would like my story. Now I feel like I'm writing because people actually care to see what's next. Thanks for that. I'm glad to do my part in contributing to this amazing community.

Very nice....
(not very constructive comment is DISTRACTING, hahaha!!! >:D )

A comment is a comment none the less, and I appreciate the compliment.

Forgiveness is a difficult thing to gain, When it comes to who to forgive and what is there to forgive for. :applejackunsure:

Still, this was some chapter in a truly emotional storyline so far. However, I wonder if Fluttershy will be making an appearance or two within the storyline as I do wonder what her life is like after all these years ?:fluttershyouch:

A world without Pinkie Pie is truly a dark world indeed for the Mane 6. :pinkiesad2:

Please do keep up the good work upon such a great storyline ike this one.

Fluttershy will indeed be making an appearance soon enough, her part is best saved til this story approaches its end however.

Comments like these make writing my stories worthwhile to me. I consider them my pay for the long hours I put in to each chapter and are much more valuable to me than you know.

That was a deep and emotional start to the story as you got Applejack's character down right. :ajsmug:

Such great emotion and that moment with the Rainbow and the connection of Applejack's feelings of something bad happening was something deep.

Please do keep up the good work upon such a great storyline like this one. :ajbemused:

So it's Rainbow Dash's fault that Pinkie Pie died ? :pinkiegasp:

I mean, I know she is a bit of a jerk or something, but I know she never wanted it to end it like that. For the death of her best friend, caused Rainbow to lose her bluster and luster for life and adventure.

I mean just...no words can truly describe how I feel about this chapter.

Please do keep up the good work upon such a tragic, but interesting storyline.

This is legit the mose depressing fanfic I've read. I've read my fair share of heart-wrenching SAD stories, but nothing as depressing as this.

Please, for the love of Celestia and Luna, carry on.

This my good sir is gold.

The Grammar is amazing, each personalty is portrait amazingly, every aspect of this story is perfect.
This dark story is truly a piece of art, You manged to make a simple yet heart warming story while still making the reader feel depressed.
I have not since a story like this since "My Little Dashie".
This is a great dark story, and able to tell each story with out straying to far form the main story, something to may people aren't able to do.
You have manged to leave questions in your story, with out us thinking to hard about them.

You are truly great my good sir:twilightsmile:

Thank you all so much for the positive feedback. :raritywink:

Great update as it seems that Twilight is falling for Rarity, and who wouldn't. :raritywink:

It also seems that even Twilight was affected by Pinkie's death as it shows that despite her unusual behavior, Pinkie was a truly good friend to Twilight and the others. Which now makes me wonder what will happen when the five Elements all reunite with other ? :twilightsheepish:

I also wonder whether or not Spike will make an appearance in the story, given his connection to Pinkie ? :moustache:

Please do keep up the good work upon such a great tale like this one.

Heehee, I was just being really silly.
This is a very nice story to read. I really like it...

Well I'm glad you like it. :pinkiehappy:

I love this story so much, the part where Rainbow mentions how lonely, cold and hungry she was, I litteraly shed tears. Thanks for this :pinkiehappy::rainbowkiss:

I really do, greatly. Just keep it up, good friend. ;>

I don't...i can't... I just...:pinkiesad2:
i can feel the impact. I see the dust as RD crashes after the horror of watching Pinkie fall.
A candle was just blown out in Equestria, the brightest one.:pinkiehappy:
This was the day the laughter died:fluttercry::applecry::raritycry:
Good-night, sweet Pinkamena; And flights of angels sing thee to thy lofty rest:fluttercry:

I must say for such an emotional storyline like this one, it seems to make Rarity look like a bad Pony and a bad friend.:raritydespair:

However, within her own chapter, it shows Rarity full of regret over her own actions with Pinkie Pie that lead to her death.

Still, it makes me wonder whether or not any of the girls can understand Rarity's actions and reasion for her behavior. :applejackunsure:

Also, I was wondering for a mini chapter or two focusing on the reunion between the Cutie Mark Crusaders, since they too play a major and minor role in the lives of the Mane 6 ?

Please do keep up the good work upon such a great storyline like ths one. :rainbowkiss:

This is a good story, but you might want to make a slight edit...

Twilight saw how Rarity treated Applejack. Most people, when they see how person A treats person B, think that's how person A will treat them...

...so why did Twilight fall for this nasty personality?

One way to handle it is to have Applejack say something equally nasty to Rarity, so that Twilight would see both as equally bad.

37565 Twilight chooses to leave pony A and B's problems between them. Twilight is no longer the problem solving friend she used to be. Instead she's a pony who's life has been uprooted in a way she never expected, perhaps she falls for the pony who shows her the slightest bit of affection due to her own insecurities, or maybe her feelings are genuine. Note Rarity and Twilight have spent a lot of time together up until this point, time that hasn't been explained in any sort of detail yet.

This story is beautiful and tragic.

I'm glad that Applejack remained true to Ponyville, and stayed... though farms are very tough to move!

I'm enjoying the story immensely.

:applecry: :applecry: :applecry:

(extremely well-written, very poignant... and damn depressing.)

A sweet story. I hope that Twilight and Rarity settle themselves -- either staying together in something more permanent, or just remain friends with benefits.

Well that dose explain what happen to Rarity and Twilight since their last chapters. Still, it was a great update to the storyline.

Twipie, that is kind of funny and cute in a way. However, maybe it was Rarity way of handling her guilt on Pinkie's death ? :raritywink:

Still, it was a nice update to the overall storyline.

I do wish for a mini-chapter or two that focus on the Cutie Mark Crusaders as they are still growing up and how they dealt with the changes surrounding their lives. :unsuresweetie:

Please do keep up the good work upon such a great tale.

Many manly tears were shed.WAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!:fluttercry: it is so sad, yet so well written...

"Remember way back when we first came together?"

Wow.Totally amazing.Sad,too....:fluttercry:

This is so nice and sweet and cute :raritywink::twilightsmile:
