Anyway I can tell this fic is going to be cringy...But the good kind of cringy, if that makes any sense. Plus, it's been a while since I've seen a good SoarinJack, but the way he kept going on about the pies was a bit annoying, like that was the only reason he was even attempting to ask her out. As much as I dislike Trenderhoof, at least he noticed AJ's beauty before her cullinary skills.

Also, why did Soarin feel the need to get AJ an airship? What would she possibly use an airship for? These gifts are getting a little ridiculous.
I was sort of wondering how their bank accounts would run dry but, with all they've bought, I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. They'll be living on the streets by the time this is over!
A fun little chapter, I was kinda surprised you didn't try to sneak in a little MacDash but it wouldn't have fit in right now so I was kinda glad you didn't. Still, maybe in a future chapter I guess.

Having had a hand in the writing of this, can I ask exactly what you object to? She seems irritated, but secretly liking the attention, which feels in character to me. How do you think she would react?

Well, there are a few major things. The first is that when a girl like AJ is approached by two guys, I don't believe she'd suggest a competition for her affections. She might study the guys to decide which one she likes best, but she's down to earth. She doesn't want to see how guys act when they're trying to woo her, she wants to get to know them.
Especially because we know from canon (Simple Ways) that AJ does not secretly like this kind of attention. That's not who she is, the show made that clear when she was hiding in the chicken coop and not wanting to date or dance with Trenderhoof after how he acted. It's an ugly idea that girls secretly want stuff despite acting, in public and private, like they don't. Honestly, I find it kind of gross for guys to insist on it when we've seen it so explicitly from a character.
And finally, we also know from Simple Ways that she has zero interest in Trenderhoof as he acted there. Unless he came back a changed stallion, which he didn't here, there would be no reason for AJ not to turn him down and try dating Soarin.
6478104 I respect all of that and I understand what you find wrong with my story. Though I do want to point out she never said for them to compete, they did that on their own. She didn't want to date either one when they started to argue in front of her like she was some kind of prize.
I am trying to stay in cannon as possible, but really I wanted to do a story with these two rich guys fighting over Applejack with ridiculous amount of money. It was just a funny concept and I thought it would be fun to see Applejack as the mare who has all this attention, when she is not the kind to go out and seek it.
I hope you will read this story till the end just to see how it ends up. I respect your opinion and hope you have a great day.

You are totally right. I see I misread this part:
That makes more sense, though I'm still not sure the reason she gives ("Ah’m not the type a mare ta go on multiple dates with different stallions") is really the reason she'd be turning either of them down (I would have gone with "y'all are actin' like foals.") But that's a nitpick compared to my original mistaken impression.
And I'm not sure I'll follow along, though I might check back in when its done. I do think it's a good concept, though I disagree about how AJ would react, and particularly to Trenderhoof. So it's possible with some future recommendations from other people who've read it, I might give it another shot.

We have one who will actually try to get to know the mare in question, and one who will end up putting three fillies in even more danger than they normally get into. (still trying to figure out how they manage to solve infinite danger + even more lol)
