I'd love a story where Fluttershy becomes an unwilling meal for a hungry snake, although without any of her bones breaking and the snake constricting her until she loses consciousness and then eating her. I'd rather she never woke up again as well.

I think that this is, without a shadow of a doubt, the single most disturbing piece of fan fiction I have ever had the dishonor of reading. And it isn't a good disturbing like some fics. There isn't a single thing good about this story other than the pacing, and most certainly nothing about it to be excited about. I'd seriously consider the mental stability of this so called 'friend' of yours.

I've had a day or two to fully digest this story--er, so to speak. I like it. It managed to keep me interested enough to read the non-fetishy bit, and, in fact, I liked that bit better. It wasn't what I came for, but I found Daring Do's adventurous journey and well-portrayed arrogant personality to be very engaging.
Still speaking of the first half, I have to admit however that it only ever struck one note. Nothing seemed to change. Daring was just parading around arrogantly showing off her prowess as a tomb raider, and it may have hammered on that key a few too many times. It didn't stop me from reading, or make me bored, but when I think back on the journey, I don't have any feeling of progression. I was mostly just enjoying the prose, and big chunks of it could have been taken out to no significant effect.
Then it got the the vorey bits. I don't really know how to feel about that. Beyond being a very jarring transition, I guess the fact that unwillingness isn't your fetish was really apparent to me. I couldn't feel the same passion and engagement as the first half got, and there was an awful lot of describing Do's inner thoughts in a very 'telly' way. I found myself skipping over her inner lamentations and denials because I was already able to tell she was thinking something like that, or in the case of things like how she feels 'owned' now, it just seemed like too much distracting information that I would have preferred to theorize about myself. Maybe all this same stuff would have been more interesting in a different voice. I'm not sure.
Good story, all in all. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thank you! And I'll keep all your feedback in mind. A good portion of that is left over from some very early decisions that got torn out—for instance, this was all meant to be a fanfic that Dash was reading to a horrified Mane Six, so a lot of Daring's thoughts are very "Dash", because of that.
And if you thought she was arrogant in this... Hoo boy, you should've seen the first draft. You wanted that Daring to die, and die painfully, not to mention slowly.

What, incredibly racist, jingoistic Daring Do, with no respect whatsoever for actual archaeology? Nah, both me and my pre-reader agreed that she needed to be toned down. Though the "swinging blades" scene from that is basically left untouched, so imagine her keeping that mentality, but with a generous helping of C4.
It being Dash's idea was kinda cute, yeah. But I didn't feel like writing it, and my pre-reader's got a major thing for finality, so it all being a story would have been a major turn-off. It being a gift for him, I figured it was for the best.
Don't get the wrong impression, though; he's an awesome dude, and I agree with him anyway on 99% of his points. He's just better at spotting all this stuff than I am, which makes him a fantastic filter for a lot of my... less grounded bits.
I'm actually currently collab-ing with him, on a Fallout: Equestria-themed vore CYOA. I'll be posting the bad ends I write to that next week, I think. They're pretty standalone.

I'd wondered if it was something like "Came to (Too Much) Shit"; foreshadowing their being "buried" by being fed to an imprisoned snake/monster.
I feel the need to point out that snakes take months to completely digest their food, because they also need to dissolve bones (one of the drawbacks of swallowing things whole) the only thing left would be some hair in a puddle of brown soup, and it certainly wouldn't be there in just a few days.

Noted, heh! This was back when I really wanted to include the "finding" detail; Were I to rewrite this today, it'd likely be a LOT shorter, with Fluttershy offering herself to the snake right there in the forest for it to curl up for a few months reducing her to sludge.
