I have to go with Flutter on this, I mean they are the equivalent to humans in the mirror world, unless you can explain it in other chapters I'm on the fence and magic would better explain why they "age slower or live longer" depending on perspective, that would effect the foalhood years, longer life means more time to be well a foal and learn
