This story is a sequel to Friendship's New Flight
Rainbow Dash continues to grow her friendship with Thunderlane after a good couple of weeks, and her friends have warmed up to him, his brother and the Pegasus Twins slightly, except Applejack, who is still on the fence, Plus Rumble also has his trials and errors with The Cutie Mark Crusaders, including romance & jealousy.
But when Celestia invites the Elements to Canterlot for a Talent Show, this is Thunderlane's chance to really get in good with his new friends, but jealousy & resurfacing of old rivals make that harder.

By the laws of tales, the fact that Rainbow Dash reassured Thunderlane that everything will be okay, everything will in fact go wrong.
Can you make an alternate ending where Applejack really doesn't deserve a second chance? I think the alternate ending should have Applejack losing her friends, getting disowned by her family and stripped of her Element of Honesty by Celestia as well as being hated and ostracized by everypony.
Do you think it's a good idea to make that alternate ending or am I letting my anger at Applejack get to me just because I hated what she did in this story?

This is a very weird situation I'm in.
Because I really enjoyed the first story, and am interested in most of the other fics in the series based on the premise for them...
But I'm too much of a SoarinDash (and Rumbleloo) shipper that I can't really bring myself to read fics where she gets together with anypony else.
