A heartfelt exploration of a fascinating setting. I love the ideas for Celestia and Luna. Also, you provided a fascinating spin on Twilight's accomplishment in "Magical Mystery Cure" that I don't think I've ever seen before: by creating new magic, Celestia meant that Twilight violated the conservation of energy. You know, in a way that magic doesn't normally do.
In any case, a most enjoyable read.

Amazing. I always imagined these being the mantles they would eventually take up, if they did indeed succeed Celestia and Luna. Twilight is meant to protect the night, it's even in her NAME, and Cadance is the Princess of Love, so it makes sense that she would become princess of Love and Light. Cadance has always shone like the sun, and Twilight sparkles like the stars. It's perfect.
