Unless you count liking steak as interesting you should stop reading this bio.

After being pulled through a portal into another dimension, a cosplayer who dressed up as the Demoman from Team Fortress 2 finds himself in a world that is more colorful, more happy, and more clean than his old one. He wants no part of it. So on his quest to return to his own world, he must stain the pureness of this world with the blood of the innocent... or at least that's what his possessed sword says.
In a race against time, and in an attempt to scrape together what little sanity he has left, Tavish DeGroot must brave the not so candy-coated surface of this world as he tries to get back to his family and friends. But what dark secrets lie beneath the seemingly faultless pretense of blue skies and cheerful guises this world offers at face value?
Let's go on a journey, a journey that delves deep into the hidden truths that are buried beneath the broad strokes of a deceitful brush. A journey to the side of the planet that even the sun dares not touch.

Written for the F*** THIS PROMPT contest by Verbose Mode at Rage Reviews!, which basically asked its entrants to write a Displaced fic. I hope you guys who have an aversion for the genre can give it a chance. Heck, I gave it a chance by even participating in the contest. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the story!

Spooky

Look like they going have to glue you back together. IN HELL!!!

6178073 What makes me a good Demoman? If I were a bad Demoman, I wouldn't be sittin' here discussin' it with ye, now would I!?

6178451 I'm a grim bloody fable with an unhappy bloody end.

6178583 See! I told ya they were a bunch o' wee lasses!

6178598 I'm drunk, you don't have an excuse.

Couldn't you see the bloody bombs?

6178969 That's what ya get fer touchin' that!

6178987 I'mma have to come up with various situations so I'll have an excuse to simply quote Demo's lines in this story, aren't I?:rainbowlaugh:

6396520 It shall come when it is done.

im glad to see an update to this.

6643239 As they say, a legend never dies, he only grows very very lazy. And I'm glad to see this story still has something of an audience.

so this got an update... I'm not gonna lie here, totally forgot what the hell this thing was about.

Now were do I go from here.

I think left.

You're not the only one. :applejackunsure:

I'm not reading this, but I can tell you one thing.
This needs a crossover tag.

Tavish’s eyes had long since stopped glowing their sinister sanguine, the man simply staring as he witnessed what appeared to be the guardian’s death. He didn’t know why, but a part of him felt a great sense of loss. It was with this overbearing feeling of sadness and disgust that he began to weep for someone that he knew so little yet so well.

the only things i know about demoman that he has no "if they died they would be sad forever" or any great friends so.. im guessing that it has to do with.. i dont know the void?

6730793 I do plan on delving into this point, that being of identity or loss thereof in a situation like this. Lots of people, at least from what I've seen, tend to think that these displaced fics are only about the characters, when they are in fact about the people cosplaying as those characters. There's a fine line between the two that I wish to distinguish and, hopefully, deconstruct over the course of this fic.

Also, thanks for the comment. The cosmos above knows this story isn't getting enough of them.
