This is a side story to The Conversion Bureau: The Other Side of the Spectrum, specifically the Asia Side Story.
For the first time in centuries, Equestria is going to war. The very fate of reality itself is at stake. As the combined forces of Equestria, its allies, and the PHL prepare themselves for the final battle against the Solar Empire, those on the sidelines try to make sense of a world gone upside down.
A normal family tries to process the news of their counterparts' horrible fate in the other Equestria and the culture shock of humanity's arrival.
Two young ponies find their paths cross in the strangest of ways, their connection building as the world prepares itself for the end.
And a group of warriors rediscover the hope and light in the darkness.

I always wondered how the average prime equestrian would react to their tcb counterparts. Are we going to see more families reactions or are we just going to focus on comets family? Also in this story are we going to see the prime equestrians meeting physically their tcb counterparts?
6261486 This is mainly focusing on the Asia Side Story ponies (and a few other authors' characters who make cameo appearances), and yep, there will be face-to-face meetings between the Prime and TCB versions.
Reactions will vary, but generally will be of the "future me scares me" variety, yeah.

Either that, or Pineapple, in her own twisted way, feels some small affection for the counterparts of the people she's worked with, and is thus preparing them for the shock of discovery that humanity can be just as evil as the Empire. With someone like her, who knows? It may even be a little of both.

I suppose it makes sense that a mare whose personality is comparable to a less easily excitable Psycho!Pinkie would have a soft spot for kids, if only because they don't offer much challenge as opponents, and she's got this Yautja-like self-imposed code of picking on those who can put up a fight.
(Not that it stops her from quite deliberately spooking the families here.)
