Rise of the Sith Nightmare

Author's Note:

Welp, this is my first time doing a Displaced story. I would want to inform you that this Displaced is a little more different than what you might expect. I just want to give that out to you all to understand.

In other news, I would like to think both RandomHamster33 and Inazuma for helping me out on this story. Now, I do understand someone actually beat me to a Nightmare Moon Displaced Fic. But, this my original idea for a new Nightmare Displaced. That's another thing I would like to say to you, the readers.

So, please enjoy the first installment of Rise of the New Nightmare Order.

One more thing. Tell me what you think about this story. I want to make sure I make the story look good for you all to read. Hope to see you guys enjoy it.

My name is Elisabeth. This is my first time to ever attend a convention. There are so many people attending the Crossover convention. If I were to think of the number of people here, I would say the number was around 7,000 people.

I've been meeting so many people from all around the country. Many of them were very surprised to see the outfit that was wearing.

My outfit was that of Nightmare Moon, also known as the Mare in the Moon. There were only a few things I did to make this outfit a little more perfect for my tastes. I wasn't just a pegasister, I was also a huge fan of the Star Wars universe.

You see, I customized the way my outfit looks.

My costume was more like a Sith outfit. I had the robes of a Sith with the colors of black and blue. I wanted to continue matching the same colors like Nightmare Moon had. The robes were easy to make, along with the shoes, the cape, and the crescent moon symbols that were part of the outfit, plus the gloves that were black with horizontal blue lines.

As I continued walking to find something interesting, I noticed a booth that had what looked like the merchant from Resident Evil. This guy had every last detail of the merchant down perfectly. Impressive.

While walking up to the booth, I noticed the Merchant had his eyes on me. "Welcome, stranger." said the Merchant. The guy’s got the voice down perfect! It's like the guy is the real merchant from the game.

"It's nice to meet you too, Merchant," I started. "What is it that you sell here?"

"I sell the rarest of all items that are hard to find at any convention. I've had many people come to me to find items that they needed to fully complete their outfit," he continued. "You seem to be a huge fan of Star Wars and My Little Pony I see. You look beautiful wearing it." If I were to look at myself in the mirror right now, I would see myself flushing red.

"Thank you. I wasn't really sure if my outfit was good to wear at this convention," I replied. "Do you happen to sell any lightsabers?"

"I do have one that I've kept for quite sometime now." He pulled out the familiar handle of a lightsaber from inside his coat. "This here is one of the best lightsabers available anywhere." he said.

"Tell me more about."

"Certainly," he began. "I've made this lightsaber to be far more different than other lightsaber you would find at stores or on the Internet. You can change the color to blue, red, purple, green, and yellow. You can even snap it to wield dual lightsabers. I would recommend that you use the double-bladed lightsaber to show off to other Star Wars fans here at the convention."

"How much will the lightsaber cost?"

"Only 50 dollars."

"Deal." I placed two twenties and one ten in front of the Merchant. The Merchant took the money and handed me the lightsaber.

"Also, there's a bonus that comes with the lightsaber." He pulled out what looked like a holocron from inside his coat. "This Sith Holocron belonged to Darth Revan. By taking this Holocron, you'll be able to understand the true power of the dark side. It'll provide information, skills, knowledge, power; everything you need to know about the dark side of the force." He tossed the Holocron for me to catch.

The Holocron had the shape of a four-sided pyramid. It was cold like ice. Not too cold, but warm enough for me to actually hold it in my hands.

"Thank you, Merchant. It seems I'll learn a lot from this Holocron you have given me," I chuckled.

"You're most welcome, Nightmare Moon." he chuckled. "Your destiny awaits you, young one. Go forth and show your enemies the true power of the dark side." He bowed to me. I actually smiled when he did the bow to me.

Before I could get a chance to talk more, I felt a sudden flash of light surround my entire vision. I couldn't see anything!

I could hear the sound of a voice while in the light.

Fulfill your destiny, Nightmare. Your empire awaits you in your world.

0000000000000

I felt so sleepy.

Where was I? And what was with that voice? It sounded like someone from one of the Star Wars games I played when I was still in high school. It didn't sound evil. It sounded calm, but also masculine.

I feel like I knew the answer to whose voice it was I heard. But at the same time, I didn't know whose voice it was. Was it the Merchant? Or someone else? I'll have to find out some other time in the future.

I tried to get up on my feet. I succeeded in standing on both my legs. I felt shaken up, but that wasn't going to stop me from getting back up to see where I was now.

I felt a little dizzy, but it wasn't that serious.

As I was opening my eyes, I discovered that I was no longer at the convention. Even creepier, there wasn't any sign of people anywhere I was looking.

I noticed something else.

This place. It felt . . . different. It was cold. No sign of any life anywhere. The only thing I could see was big and small craters everywhere I was walking.

I felt my heart sink down to my stomach area. I could see what looked like a planet that was blue and green. Oh no. Oh no no no no!! NOOO!!

"Don't overreact, Elisabeth," I told myself. "This is probably just a dream. Just close your eyes and you'll be back at the convention.

I closed my eyes shut and counted to ten to wake up from this nightmare.

I opened my eyes, but I was still here. I could see the planet still. And I knew exactly where I was.

I'M ON THE MOON!! I'M ON THE FREAKIN MOON!

How could this have happened???

Hmmm. Try to think. How could this have happened to me? Could it have been the Merchant's doing? Could he have put some sort of teleportation spell on either the lightsaber or the Holocron for me to be placed on the moon? That could be the answer to it all.

Yeah. He was probably a person who might have trained in the arts of magic. Maybe. I could be wrong. It might not have been the Merchant this whole time.

As I put my hand under my chin to think more, I noticed something different about my hand.

I pulled my hand away from my chin and looked directly at it. My hand, along with the rest of my arm, was now black. It had what looked like fur covering it, too. That wasn't the only part of my body that was covered in midnight fur.

I checked my whole body and noticed that the black fur has covered every part of my body. It was like I was born with the fur, and it revealed itself to me now.

I noticed that my outfit was also different. It seemed it was composed of strong fabric. It felt like it was silk and some other materials that were used. My belt was now made out of leather. The color of it was midnight black, too. My outfit still consisted of blue and black. I also noticed that I had a necklace that had the crescent moon in it. I also had the helmet that Nightmare Moon has. My shoes were turned into boots now; black with a tint of blue on them. My teeth had also changed. Instead of them being normal, they were more like a dragon's teeth.

Well, maybe. I felt fangs that were my teeth. They weren't outside where someone would notice them. They were inside. They felt very sharp.

Did I also mention that wasn't everything I had?

I noticed that I had a horn sticking out of my head. I had wings stretched to their fullest. It looked like they could cover maybe three or four people. That's how big these wings were.

My hair was no longer what you would call "hair" any longer. Instead, it was now a mane. It was a purplish blue color; it consisted of stars shining and also the deepest parts of outer space. It looked so beautiful. I had never seen such beauty since I was a kid going to Florida with my friends to visit where NASA shows off their pictures of what they have discovered in outer space.

But my mane . . . it was more beautiful than that of the pictures I saw there. I also ended up noticing that I had also acquired a tail that had the same colors of that of outer space. Both defied the laws of gravity. They were flowing in peace, not disturbed by the slightest of turbulence.

I had forgotten that my outfit looked more like Ahsoka Tano's and maybe a little bit of Aayla Secura's outfit. I also realized that my cape was no longer part of the outfit. Still, I looked good either way.

But I know exactly who I am now. I've become Nightmare Moon. The one and only that tried to plunge Equestria into everlasting darkness. But I already know I'm not the original Nightmare Moon. I was in anthro form. What I do know is I could now be rewriting history.

The only thing I have to do is just wait until the stars free me from my boredom.

The Merchant did give me this Sith Holocron for me to listen too. Might as well understand what Darth Revan has to say in this here Holocron.

At least I won't be totally bored on this rock after all. I criss-crossed my legs as I sat down on the rocky surface of the moon and began the deep, slow breathing of a meditative trance that I had seen many times in the various mediums. Gathering and focusing my energy, I projected a wave of dark Force out to engulf the small device on the floor. The Holocron began to sparkle and shimmer in response. I held my breath in anticipation, not completely sure of what would come next. A small beam of light projected out from the top, the particles scattered and diffused. They began to shift and spin, coalescing into a cloaked figure, its features completely hidden by the hood of its heavy robe. Then a voice spoke, crisp and clear. “I am Darth Revan, Dark Lord of the Sith.”

One thousand years later . . .

To me it seemed that the teachings contained within the single Holocron surpassed those of even the most prestigious schools on Earth. Revan had discovered many of the rituals of the ancient Sith, and as the Holocron’s avatar explained their nature and purpose, I could barely wrap my mind around their awesome potential. Some of the rituals were so terrible-so dangerous to attempt, even for a true Sith Master-that I doubted I would ever dare to use them. And there was far more than just the ancient practices of dark side sorcerers stored inside the Holocron. In only a few short weeks I’d learned more about the true nature of the dark side than I had during my time on Earth.

“Those who use the dark side are also bound to serve it. To understand this is to understand the underlying philosophy of the Sith.”

I sat motionless, eyes riveted on the avatar of a Dark Lord over three millennia gone. Even though I had heard the majority of the things Revan had said during my time here on the moon, I couldn’t set it aside for too long. I had become obsessed with tapping all the knowledge trapped within.

“The dark side offers power for power’s sake. You must crave it. Covet it. You must seek power above all else, with no reservation or hesitation. The Force will change you. It will transform you. Some fear this change. The teachings of the Jedi are focused on fighting and controlling this transformation. That is why those who serve the light are limited in what they can accomplish.”

“True power can come only to those who embrace the transformation. There can be no compromise. Mercy, compassion loyalty: all these things will prevent you from claiming what is rightfully yours. Those who follow the dark side must cast aside these conceits. Those who do not-those who try to walk the path of moderation-will fail, dragged down by their own weakness.”

“Those who accept the power of the dark side must also accept the challenge of holding on to it,” Revan continued. “By its very nature, the dark side invites rivalry and strife. This is the greatest strength of the Sith: it culls the weak from our order. Yet this rivalry can also be our greatest weakness. The strong must be careful lest they be overwhelmed by the ambitions of those beneath them working in concert. Any Master who instructs more than one apprentice is a fool. In time the apprentices will unite their strength and overthrow the Master. It is inevitable. Axiomatic. That is why each Master must have only one student.”

“This is also the reason there can only be one Dark Lord. The Sith must be ruled by a single leader: the very embodiment of the strength and power of the dark side. If the leader grows weak, another must rise to seize the mantle. The strong rule; the weak are meant to serve. This is the way it must be.”

“Peace is a lie. There is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory my chains are broken.”

After meditating for a few more minutes I put the Holocron in one of the pockets that was on my belt.

As I got up, I noticed that the stars were getting closer to one another. It was time to leave.

At the last second, the stars formed into one big star and fired a beam of energy in front of me. The portal had been opened.

I went into the portal and noticed that it transported me into a building.

I could hear what sounded like crowds of people cheering for someone to walk over to the balcony in front of me.

This must be the part where I would come in.

"Mares and gentlecolts! I welcome Princess Celestia to Ponyville," sounded like Mayor Mare.

I will wait until they notice something is not right.

As the minutes went by, the voices sounded like they were concerned with when Celestia would appear to introduce herself.

"Where's the Princess??"

"Is she okay?"

"Did something bad happen?"

Ah. Why it would appear this is the right time to show myself to my subjects.

I walked over to the balcony and noticed I could see the shocked crowd below me.

But something was not right. It would seem everyone was still in the same form like that in the cartoon series, while I was in anthro form. This is very strange. I was expecting that the ponies would've also been in anthro form. But whatever. I have come to this world and will do what I must to bring everlasting darkness to Equestria.

The ponies couldn't see my face, for it was covered by my robe.

Without hesitating, I began to laugh my loudest, "HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAAH!!"

"Welcome, my fellow subjects, for the night will last forever!" I placed both my hands on the railing of the balcony. "I wonder if any of you know who I am?”

I saw one pony start to carefully get to the front of the crowd. I knew who this pony was. It was Twilight Sparkle, Celestia's faithful student.

"I thin-think I know who you are."

"Oh? Tell these foals who I am.”

“You are Nightmare Moon.” Twilight breathed.

"You are only partially correct. I am Darth Nightmare Moon. And I am much more powerful than the original Nightmare Moon that Celestia had banished to the moon for a thousand years."

Gasps could be heard from where the crowd was.

"I thought Nightmare Moon was not real!"

"She's supposed to be a story to scare little fillies and colts!"

"What’s a Darth?"

I could feel the fear of the ponies making me feel stronger.

"Original?? W-What are you talking about?" Twilight said.

"All in good time, all in good time.”

"STOP HER!!" the pony who was Mayor Mare ordered the guards to stop me from creating destruction in the building.

The guards flew up to try and take me down. Typical guards. They have much to learn from the dark side of the Force.

I raised my right hand and made it look like I was choking someone. The said guards were holding onto their throats like someone was choking them. They fell back on the ground trying to to figure out what was making them choke.

"W-what...egh! I-is.....uh...uh....".

I decided to have a little fun with my new powers.

I used force lightning to electrocute the guards and threw them down to the ground hard.

“Well what do you know? Fried Pegasi does indeed smell like chicken. Ha ha ha haaa.”

More gasps could be heard now. The ponies' expression showed they were now in great danger from my dark powers. Even Twilight Sparkle couldn't comprehend in how I used lightning with my fingers.

"Now you see I am the most powerful figure in all of Equestria," I said. "The New Nightmare Order will rule this land and its citizens."

"Not if I have anything to say about it!" The voice was from Rainbow Dash. She was about to knock me down with her speed, but I used the force to freeze her in place.

"I don't know why you even bother, Rainbow Dash." I broke my lightsaber in two and threw both of them right at her in which they sliced both of her wings. She screamed to the top of her lungs. I then threw her at Rarity who couldn't react in time to have her friend smash right into her.

"Ah. It's nice to see how your friend tried to protect you, Twilight. Now she is unable to fly anymore." I looked at Applejack and Pinkie Pie. "You two don't even know who you are dealing with. I know how to beat you all. I will make your life miserable," I continued. "You don't know what I have in store for all of you. That goes for you too, Fluttershy."

"EEP!" She was cowering in fear. She hid behind Applejack.

"The ones who you love dearly will be destroyed at the hands of my wrath. All of you will witness something that hasn't happened in over a thousand year if not more." I jumped off the balcony and landed in the middle of the room.

"You're magic can hardly do anything to me." Without hesitation, I pointed one of my lightsabers at Twilight. She wasn't moving. I think she was wanting to escape my wrath. "I won't kill you just yet. That will wait some other time in the near future."

I heard hoof steps coming fast to where I was. Applejack must've thought that it would be a good time to strike while talking to Twilight.

Typical Earth pony.

I looked to my left seeing she was coming in for a full attack. Too slow Applejack. Too slow. I levitated her from the ground and smashed her to the floor.

I just thought of something now. Looking at Twilight, who was still frozen in fear, I sliced the upper part of her horn where she would be unable to use her magic again in future battle. She screamed while I used force push to make her crash into the wall.

Every pony screamed and was running to the nearest exit. I let them escape. The mane six are my primary targets.

"With most of you now unable to defeat me, It'll help me be more successful of destroying you all. But it's not the time to kill you all now. I have more important manners to attend to. Farewell." I jumped up in the air and used the force to blast the roof open to fly away. It was blown into a million pieces with fire burning on the wood of what remained left of the roof.

This is only the beginning of my assault on Equestria.
