Xvern

The last thing Specialist Odom remembered was falling asleep in the back of a truck bouncing along the dirt roads of Fort Carson's training areas. Thus, it was with great surprise that he found himself waking up in the middle of the forest with avian eyes staring at him in curiosity and fear.

On an alien world with alien languages, can Odom survive long enough to find out where he is? Or will he find himself turned into a gourmet meal for the local lord?

Or will they find another use for him?

An interesting start, for sure, and I look forward to seeing where you go with this from here.

Been a long time since I've read one of your works. Can't wait to see more.

When you started talking about the snare trap the first thing to come to mind wascontent.hogtied.com/imagedb/5914/i/h/410/13.jpg
But maybe that's just the manifestation of my time on 4chan.

This story so far makes me picture the Griffions being something like these pics but with a Game of Thrones vibe:

Hope these pics help with some ideas.

This is a great story. So far it seems like a mostly original tale on a HiE tale. I haven't seen many human falling into gryphon stories before so this is a breath of fresh air. I hope it keeps being as good as it is so far.

You cliff hanging piece of shit! This was the best chapter yet and leave us hanging? I'm dieing on the inside. I've got internal bleeding from this terminal disease known as Whenauthorsleaveyouhanging Syndrome. It's like Downs for your liver.

I wonder, is anyone going to bring up the reason why they decided to chase him down in the first place? Because "a cub wasn't looking where it was going and collided face first into someone" is going to make the gryphons look pretty goddamn stupid. Even more so when it's the first contact with an unknown race and they just decide to attack on a whim.

its a shame i didnt find this fic before, its turning out to be pretty damn awesome, keep up the good work my friend.:pinkiehappy:

6492744 unfortunately that kind of mindset does exist, some people can just perceive someone or something as an immediate threat without thinking about other possibilities or repercussion, just as long as they think they are doing what they think is "right" however screwed up the logic may be. thankfully this Silvia has a different mindset to the tersel hunting party and could be closer to what we construe as common sense. i hope. or i could be biased in that she is a female gryphon, of which are damn cute and thus instantly have my vote of approval...yeah definitely biased:twilightblush:.

also. Bodom is an absolute badass!:yay:

To everyone who left a review or gave a thumbs-up/thumbs-down rating, thank you!

Please know that I do intend on continuing this. So if you can all be patient just a little bit longer, it'd be much appreciated. :scootangel:

6492744 if you read back to the first chapter, you find that the cub explained that his friend had attacked the creature for no reason.
It was then not aggressive, but ran.
The subsequent pursuit, with no mention of simply wanting to talk to it, or reasons why is a pretty glaring omission.

I haven't been on this website for ages, now I have a legitimate reason to come back. The story is great and I look forward to further updates!
