Twilight was familiar with both the cutie map's function and the existence of another world, but when approached by the princesses one day, her, Spike, and her friends are now tasked with liberating yet another world from certain doom with the help of its inhabitants. With this new world's different set of rules, will they succeed in their quest?

I picked the first game because it's a game I played and own. I have yet to play Xillia 2.

Probably a good call. I love Xillia and Xillia 2, both are among my best JRPGS of the generation. But I personally enjoyed Xillia just a bit more then it's sequel. But yeah, I'm really glad to see a story like this on display! WE NEED MORE TALES/MLP stories!
