I'm guessing your going for a much more lengthy and more biological less magic transformation of Twilight into an Alicorn with graphic side effects of her body transforming?
Haven't read this yet, though I admit that it caught my attention. As for why I haven't read it? I've got a sneaking suspicion it's gonna go all Kafka on me and while he's a great author not sure I like the idea of Twi-roach.
Twilight looks really constipated on that cover image.

6145292 I felt like it fit. Imagine that you are like, blessed or enchanted or something, to where you didn't feel pain. Instead, you get a thundering sound in your ears that will always be louder then any other sound you ever hear, and no matter how hard you try you will never be able to ignore it until the thing that was causing the 'pain' goes away. I think that's equal.

my guess is her brain's interpretation, just like her body basically going into a coma. The pain of the transformation is excruciating,, coupled with how delicate her "proto-wings" are, her mind has protected it self by cutting her off from her body. She still feels it all but to stop her from being driven completely mad by pain her pain reinterprets the sensation inside he little "mind world"/. She's like a butterfly with out a cocoon. Honestly I expect Celestia to be more fussing over Twilight, having staff be on hoof constantly to keep Twilight from hurting herself in her sleep state

It's just an alternate universe thing, where when she was placed on the ground, when she was supposed to do the thing with her wings (that looked pretty awesome) instead she was placed on the ground, asleep, and Did you really think I was going to spoil what's going on with Twilight?.

Apostrophe/single quote != italics. You're using single quotes (') for emphasis, and they're not meant to be used that way. It breaks immersion in the story. Don't do it 'this' way, do it this way.

I really like the story it was really good in my opening.
Wow it's finally over. I enjoyed reading it, the feelings of some characters were intense, and Twilight's parts always had a some sort of emotion looming over them. Thank you for writing this story. I love seeing a good story completed. I know for a fact most of them aren't but I'm glad you did.
