Indulgence

Sequels1

T

Cities are faceless places where anypony can go to loose themselves or else be lost, either by choice or against their volition. The sweeping metropolis of Manehattan is no exception to this rule, being well filled with the hidden and the hiding, pulled there by its promise. For two such as these however, living in amongst the ivory spires, a chance encounter will potentially open up a brighter world.

Great thanks to Haphazard for pre-reading.

Also thank you to anyone who reads my stuff.

Notes:
• Title: Fateful Threads and Silken Flowers (French)
• I use the word pegasus with both a singular and plural meaning, rather than pegasi, due to personal preference. Apologies if it is an annoyance.

• I welcome any and all feedback.

Writing style is a bit cluttered and slightly purple at times, and it could stand some punctuation correction.
That said, the setup is interesting and the pacing is good, so let's see where it goes.

What does Filetages Fatidique et Fleurs de Soie mean in English?

I like the idea of this story but there is something in the way it is written that doesn't feel right and I'm not sure what it is.

The purple prose kept being a bit of a problem until the end. It takes away from the flow of the story, and it can make readers skip over particularly convoluted sentences and miss important details.
As a whole, it was a nice story. Fleur and Coco's relationship was decently paced, both of them were well-written, and I found the ending to be satisfying enough to feel happy about the story.
It would have been nice to see some more development regarding Fleur and her possible drinking problem and Coco's being in denial about liking mares, but I can understand why they ended up not being big issues, considering the probably intended story length.

6491885 It's actually in the description: "Fateful Threads and Silken Flowers"

Very satisfying chapter. :ajsmug: not a common ship but one of my personal favorites. Have like and a favorite. :twilightsheepish:

A happy ending. :twilightblush: The writing was a little bit wordy in the begining my opinion and sometimes I got a little lost. But last few chapters really caught Fleur and Coco's coming together and hit all the right feels.

Huh. :trixieshiftright: I... don't have any problems with this story. Not at all. I enjoyed it wholeheartedly. So, maybe you could've gone more into this or that, but then again, you didn't have to. It doesn't feel like there's anything missing. I find myself strangely disagreeing with the majority of the comments so far.

Anyway. A rather unusual couple - and I like it. Before I started reading, I kind of expected Rarity to meddle. A lot. And she ended up being mentioned, and only once at that. Funny thing about expectations.

So, yeah - this was entertaining and even touching. Nice story!

Thank you.

If you go back and re-edit these early chapters do you think you could do something about these run on paragraphs? These chapters aren't very long but they feel much longer in a bad way having to read through them when the text is all clumped up like that.

Lovely. This really is quite underappreciated.
