Sort of, I think you misunderstood. The ponies didn't bring them there. The ponies think that the humans are smart, but still not sapient. The stuff the ponies did hasn't come up yet. It wasn't the ponies who were in the ending messages, it was mostly the changelings, and the ponies aren't irredeemable.. Other than that, yes.
